The only thing I can think of is we didn't win by a lot? Just brain storming.

His wife is a science teacher in the district and his oldest son is currently a sophomore starter for this years team. He also has 2 younger kids in middle school.

Yes they do have a training staff. David McDonald is the trainer and the guy Mike James ran over trying to save a rebound. He can't run out to the floor until coach Roc tells him too for some reason. Also, the college rule about throwing elbows to clear space is an automatic technical fall if done above the shoulders I think. Then refs can go to the monitor to see if it was intentional and can even eject the player.

Harris hasn't played tonight and Davis has barely played. We are shooting lights out! Also Stan Brown and Coy Custer have really impressed against the undersized Nicholls front court. And Minor is wiping Bose after he poops. He has been all over him tonight.

64 to 41 Lamar. Time out Nicholls!

56 to 38 Lamar. 14:45 left. Getting it done on the defensive end!

We are playing great defense. Minor is shutting down the much larger Bose. 48 to 38 Lamar. 13 minutes left.

Side note: Bose is not having a career game at all! ;D

Let's not kid ourselves guys. Ozen is a good team and it was a great win for Nederland, but that press is nothing to a team like Yates. We still need to improve on press breaks though.

Sad. Never thought they would cut off a Lakers Knicks game for a Clippers Cavs game.

You can make the point that this Nederland team is very, very good without criticizing ALL of Nederland's past teams.  You make statements such as "no team has ever won" in the playoffs and basketball is the one sport that Nederland "has never been good until now".  Obviously, recent teams have won playoff games.  And going way back, Nederland has in fact, played in a state championship game.  So apparently Nederland hasn't always sucked in basketball.  Does this make my point clear enough? [/quote] I'm saying last years team is basically the same team as this years. It is built around the same players. It is obvious we were good last year. Before that, we have never been good at basketball and never won playoff games. I was not trying to criticize all of Nederland's past teams. The question was "when is the last time Nederland went undefeated in district?" I simply was saying it hasn't happened in basketball. It shouldn't be blown out of proportion. Im not trying to bring down every other team. I was on 2 of those teams, why would I want to bring myself down? I'll say it like this: This is the best Nederland team ever. No other team has ever been this good. I hope that is better. Didn't think it was that big of a deal though. Let's go guys! We have a lot of work left to do.
