[/quote] I think most people are starting to respect Ned (I know u have always had a secret crush  ;) ), but a few are still reluctant to say so until Ned accomplishes ?? Looking from 8th grade-Varsity, it looks like Ned will continue being very competitive and fighting for the District Title for at least the next 5 years.

When Yates scored 140 points a couple of years ago and their opponent scored 32, the score gained NATIONAL headlines. Point spread means NOTHING in HS basketball. Ask any coach that has class, and they will tell u the same. If they pressed in the 4th with the 1st team, with a 40-50 point lead, shame on them. If their reserves were in the game, then I have no problem with them improving their game. Nederland girls need to improve, no doubt, but at some point the opposing coach needs to realize the morale of the girls. Who knows, in a few years, Nederland girls might be beating the Ozen girls just like what has happened on the boys side. Maybe getting beat so badly will motivate some girls and parents to make girls basketball in Nederland back to a more competitive level.

[/quote] Looks like a pattern to me. Ned's last 4 opponents scored 34 (Livingston), 34 (Central), 24 (Lumberton), and 39 (Ozen) points. Either all 3 teams were 'off' or Ned's 'D' is really good. BTW-Ned played man last night over 90% of the time. That is what impressed me...

Ozen was pumped, and I got concerned real quick. Ozen is much better than some give credit. It says a lot that Central is 3-0 against them this year, and remember rhey took Silsbee to OT earlier this yr too. Anyond who says they are not good has prob not seen them play this year. I hate to go this route, but the coaching (esp at the end) was not very good last night. They are just as talented as Central, IMO.

If he works hard on his ball handling skills and defense during the offseason, he will be a huge asset on Varsity next year. The Ned Varsity will be stacked with depth next year, since 4/5 starters will be returning. A problem I'm sure Coach E will welcome!  8)

Dove-Where you at? Finally got to watch Ur boys play, and I wasn't disappointed. What are Ur thoughts on tonight's games? You buying stock in Nederland yet?  ;)

BTW-That 3 by Ozen at the end messed up the 8 point spread. >:( >:(
