Plus, Hightower been winning since their football players are through playing now. :D
Ya Dove, every team Nederland has beaten this year gets better later in the season for this reason or that reason!  ::) It just kills you to give them credit, doesn't it?  ??? Oh well, I find it amusing!  ;D ;D Oh ya, Nederland wins this one regardless if Central suits out 5 players or 15. Last I checked, only 5 play at one time.  8)
You are delusional if you are thinking the bench will not play a vital part in this game for both teams. Central is much better off playing with their full complement of players than being short handed like they were before. Will it result in a win like last time for the Jaguars? That remains to be seen.
I'm not delusional, I realize the bench plays a factor in ALL games. I just like Nederland's chances regardless of how many players see PT. If Central plays zone, Ned will beat you from outside. If you play man, then good luck slowing down Weisbrod down low. As I said in an earlier post, "if Ned gets hot from 3-land, then Ned wins big. If not, then it's a close game". We can't get caught up in past opponents or the last meeting, bc we all know what can happen in any game. For example, last year Ned barely won at Livingston. 1 month later, Ned wins by 20. Same this year when Ned beat WOS by 20 & 30, then barely wins 2 weeks later on a last second shot. I think Central played a little harder during the first meeting after losing to PAM in OT (leading big most of the game). Ned was still upset from losing to WB in the previous game which was a big disappointment after having high expectations after the YMBL showing. I believe Ned will be a lot more hungry tomorrow night. These kids don't like to lose!

Hey, I give them credit.  I know about the hot streak the Bulldogs went on in that YMBL tourney.
Oh, I know you give them credit Soulja, that comment was for BD3.

 4.
Hopefully, not a certain group of coaches.
Not sure how Beaumont works, but I just don't see a firing from a team who won district 2 seasons ago. I realize this year was a HUGE disappointment, but one bad year should not validate the Axe!
 5.
There's just something about this rivalry that is special...the atmosphere is electric....I have never been to any other indoor sporting event where the fans are so passionate....I literally look forward to this game every year..I just wish it could be played in a large enough gym that everyone who wanted to see the game could..it is truly something you will never forget..as ST413 said I love watching these two teams get after each other....good luck to my Hawks..Although our student section has all but gone away, there are plenty of other fans to take their place..
Sounds about as intense as MCM! May skip the Ned/Lumberton game and drive up to Silsbee instead.

 8.
if central pressure Ned. they win
I hope they do. Ned can handle their press which will lead to easy buckets.
 9. I would have to say in [s]2012 when HJ swept the series en route to an undefeated season and a trip to Austin. [/s] Oh wait! That hasn't happened yet.  ;D ;D ;D
 10. Heck of a come back! Great win Tigers!!
 11.
C.O. Wilson = grad to Nederland as well as their parents ooops. off topic
Ned always has a big crowd from 7th-12th grades. Back on topic though. Sounds like Vidor played a decent 2nd half? I would have figured Ozen would have outscored Vidor more than 1point in the 3rd, and 5 points in the 4th.
 12. If Nederland gets hot from 3-land, they win big. If not, then they lose in a close one like they did in their 1st meeting. The two reasons Ned lost the 1st meeting was missed 3s and not blocking out. Central had lots of offensive rebounds which led to easy put backs. Blocking out has improved since then, just need to keep doing it.
???  ???  ???
Wrong thread. Last I checked, this was a Vidor Ozen thread.
 14.
Memorial has a losing record 2 quality wins and Central isn't better than Nederland or Silsbee. Silsbee,s schedule is harder than any team in the Golden Triangle.
Last I checked, Central beat Nederland by 4(or5) in the Ned Tourney. They have similar resumes with wins and losses. I would say Ned, Silsbee, and Central are about even.
 15.
We've split a two game series vs. Pa Memorial...  Both games went into ot.
Missed that one. I'll correct it.
 16.
Kingwood Park played in the HJ tourney.  Very sound and athletic.  I was told they are the team that has eliminated Ozen in the playoffs the past 3 years.
I know last year they beat Ozen by one in OT to make it to the Regional Tourney where they lost to State Finalist Lamarque by 9.
 17.
No doubt, we had a good showing at the YMBL and beat HT. Ned was playing good team ball at that time. I am sure all 3 teams have improved since November. Should be an even matchup if you want to look at common opponents: Ned beat HT, central lost to HT twice. Central went 1-1 against WB, Ned lost to WB. Ned beat PA Memorial twice, Central split with PAM. Either way you slice it, should be a really good game. I believe Ned has won the last 5 district meetings between these two??
 18. Either way, both of these teams sound strong. Both teams lost a few keys players from last year, but sounds like they both have reloaded. Humble lost a couple of guards, but still have the 6'7" kid. KP lost most of their team, but appareantly they have a deep program. Gonna make a short trip to see them both play soon to get an idea of a possible playoff matchup.
 19.

:-X
???
I agree.  ??? When has BD3 ever been speechless?
 20. The loss to Central earlier in the season will motivate the Dawgs to come out and play team ball. They seemed a bit intimidated the last time these two teams played. Also, I believe they were disappointed from losing to WB and not advancing in the winner's bracket as they did in the YMBL. The crowd at the Doggie Dome will play a huge factor in the game. Ned needs to jump on the Jags early and take a strong lead. According to Soulja, Central doesn't make enough in-game adjustments when trailing. On the other hand, if Nederland falls behind, I believe Coach E will make the appropriate adjustments to guide Ned to the W! Dawgs 54 Jags 51
 21. The Central Jags (12-7, 3-0) travel South Tuesday to battle Nederland (18-5, 3-0) in The Dawg Dome for 1st place. Who ya got?
 22.
Again, the game was never in doubt!!!  Great job Dogs.....Now get ready for Tuesday.
Speaking of Tuesday, let's talk about it on a new thread!
 23.
WOW! If LCM is truly a playoff team, than there appears to be quite a gap between #1 and #4 or #2 and #4 in 20-4a.
Still early in district play, and maybe LCM had a really bad game?? Wasn't there, just speculating. There usually is a big difference in the 1st place team and the 4th place team, unless the district is really strong. PNG was a strong 4th place team last year. It was evident when they nearly pulled off an upset against Crosby.
