Wow! 0-14 from 3 land, shooting guard fouled out after 3 Q's and u still beat a very good 4A Jacksonville team by 8! And it sounds like JX never really threatened the Hawks. That's a great win-especially under those circumstances. Imagine if they shoot 25% from 3 land? End of 1st: Nederland 15 Vidor 2 Nederland starts second Q with the 2nd 5.

West Brook started the season 1-7 with their only victory over PNG. Since then, they have a 3-1 record, defeating Nederland, Silsbee, and Bmt. Central. Their only loss was to The Village by 3 points, who is considered to be one of the top schools in the Greater Houston Area. So, is WB legit, or will they wake up to reality soon? I think they are for real and could finish 2nd in their district behind North Shore. What do you think?

They lost in the championship game 56-53 by a very talented Village team. The Village has 2-D1 players. Then WB beat Central Tuesday night. I think they are just now finding their groove. I watched all of their games at the Bulldog Classic in Nederland, and they were much better than their record shows.

Westbury Christian and The Village in the 1st Rpund. Could be the championship game right there. I know Yates is up top in the bracket, but that is a very interesting 1st round matchup!

They r a much improved team than they were a month ago. WOS beat LCM by 4 the other day. Ned has beaten WOS twice by 20 & 30 points. LCM probably won't beat Nederland this year, but I would not rule them out to finish in 4th place as LCMBIGFAN stated.

I said you gotta disrupt it to help win. [/quote] HJ's pressure was the only team who significantly disrupted their guard play. Since then, Ned has done well with breaking the press. Of course Ned has not seen a press like HJs since, and won't again unless they play Yates.
