Ozen 5. Lumberton 6. PNG 7. Vidor I see LCM doing really well this year. In the two games I saw them play against HJ, they held their own - to a point. Nederland wasn't able to do so.
Ya gotta disrupt Nederland's and LCM's guard play
Nederland's guard play is solid!  ;)
 2.
Back to talk about the HJ/PNG game..........
Crickets....
 3.

The Jekyl and Hyde Central Jaguars take this one. Central      56 Ozen          52
Perfect name to describe this team.
How would you describe WB's season so far? They are a good 4-8 team!
 4.
It wouldn't suprise me.  But, I believe that the last few years that we've been beating Ozen...  Those wins have been in Ozen's gym, I believe.
Not easy to win over there.
 5. Never mind. I see that it's at Ozen. Gonna give this one a home court advantage: Panthers 51 Jags 47
 6. Where will this game be played?
 7. End of 3rd Nederland 50 Anahuac 22
 8.
You can't even give us one win? Dang that's harsh. I know we're in a rebuilding year but still.  ;)  ;D
Sorry bro-It's nothing personal, and I haven't seen Vidor play this year, yet. I'm just basing that on scores I have seen from the games Vidor has played so far this season. I will see y'all this Friday though.
 9. The District Race begins this Friday. Biggest game on the schedule is Ozen and Central. Who makes it to the playoffs? What order do you have each team finishing? This is how I see it playing out: Central 12-2 Nederland 11-3 Ozen 11-3 Livingston 9-5 LCM 7-7 PNG 3-11 Lumberton 3-11 Vidor 0-14
 10.
Bottom line is u just don't do that, at that point in the game. As an official u have to think to urself, why us neither team on the floor?
I am a Nederland supporter, and I don't think that is the way a game should be decided. Firtunately, it was not a very important game for either team. I bet it will never happen to either one of these teams again!
 11.
Looking at Nederland's roster, they have 6 seniors, 6 juniors and 2 soph. They start 1 senior, 3 juniors and a soph. You want to talk about young, try this lineup: Beaumont Central started the last 2 games in Nederland tourney with 1 senior, 2 soph. and 2 freshmen. First two off the bench were a freshman and soph.
But that's not their starting line-up is it? They had 3-4 players who did not play in the Ned tourney for various reasons, right? Nederland does start one senior, and there r 6 on the team. One other Senior plays about 6 min/ game, and the other 4 only play during lopsided games.

Just so you know, Memorial took losses to Nederland and Central..  So, I don't think the top tier of the district may not be too worried about the Lions...
They should be. From what I saw tonight, Livingston can play with Central, Nederland and Ozen.
20 4A is WIDE OPEN this year. As for Nederland, we just don't know which team is gonna show up from one game to another. There has to be consistency!!
Not many young teams have a lot of consistency. However, They give themselves a chance to win every game, except the HJ game, but they were still only down by 5 at half. The Central game and WB game easily could have gone either way. They will b fine come playoff time.
I don't like to use the "young team" excuse. These boys have a lot of experience even if they are not all seniors. I know a lot of seniors who have much much less on court playing time then these "young" kids. To me "young" means inexperienced playing at a high school level of competition. By that definition Ned is not young.  Just my opinion.
Not using it as an excuse, it's a reality. Only 2 players on the Varsity roster have experience on the Varsity level from last year. There is a HUGE difference of competition and talent comparing JV to Varsity. This team will have enough Varsity experience by the end of January to make a deep run in the playoffs. Depending on their draw, they COULD be back where they were last year in the Regional Tourney. Not making a prediction, but I would not be completely surprised if it happens.
Livingston was not bad last year, although their record showed differently. It is not easy to win AT Livingston, either. Maybe it will be different at their new facility. PAM is Very young this year, and they have a new coach. Memorial will be tough the next few years.
 15. Livingston is going to make some noise this year in 20-4A...

The official put the ball down, Nederland was walking out on the floor, sathat the official was starting his count and quickly in bounded the ball for an easy layup while PAM was just breaking their huddle. PAM only had 2 seconds left to answer and they were so shocked and confused with the previous play that they honestly didn't know what had happened. It was an unfortunate and controversial ending to a very tight game. Would have rather seen it end with either Nederland or PAM making a play against a ready defense and not that way.
I don't think any coach wants to win that way, but it's a part of the game. BTW-Both coached were warned in their huddles throughout the game, including the time out just 6 secs before the final timeout, where Memorial was warned twice. I missed the play b/c I was watching the Memorial huddle.
According to Travis Williams and his staff, they received no warning in that last timeout.
I did not think that either team received a warning.
The final time out, no. The time out 6 secs before that, yes.
Aaw, Did you see it or did you miss it like most of us in the gym?
Can't ask either coach, they didn't see it either.
 19. #21 for Sterling is good enough to play at the next level. Reminds me of Damien Sweet from Central.
 20.
I think it goes to show you Nederland, Central, and others in that district will be in a battle and not sure whose winning it outright.
Agree (scary)! Will not be much separation between the 1st place team and the 4th place team. 11-3 will probably be the record of the 1st place team. 10-4 might get U 3rd. Will be a close race.
 21.
SO!!!!! I was at the game and Galveston ball beat Silsbee by 1 at the buzzer and I was at the Game when Nederland played GB, lol, yall didnt stand a chance..if your from hamshire fannnet, you need to focus on making the playoffs.... I can't remember the last time y'all seen the playoffs... Waste your energy helping them....
My point is that we got beat by a very talented GB team. Silsbee lost by 20 in the YMBL last weekend twice, but u don't hear us dawgin' the Tigers! BTW-I am not a HF fan, those r my initials-ha! But go ahead, show Ur lack of class and continue making ignorant statements about things u have no clue about! Good luck to the Tigers.
 22.
Hating !!! Lol, Wow....Y'all been hating on Silsbee since the season started and for the playoffs last year, Silsbee and Nederland was watching from the stands cause we both lost... You and HF dawg be around at the end of district and will see the results...Peace
Who has been hating on Silsbee? Not Nederland fans. Silsbee is not in our district, so we have no beef with the Tigers. Y'all have a very good team, and we always hope y'all do well in the playoffs.
