And Central # 4 BEHIND Livingston????? what the heck###### ;D
Remember that Livingston was very young last year too. I don't think they lost any starting players to graduation last year either. Being a smaller 4A school, they also had a lot of FB players who missed part of the BB season last yr, so their record was not impressive for their overall season. I've never been a big fan of preseason polls either, I guess that's why we play the games...  8)
 2. I guess Butler had a good run for a few years too? Oh no, wait, they are still very good. Same can be said about Boise St in FB. Nice run while it lasted. Oh wait, they are still good too. I'm all but certain the same was said about HJ when they started their run. Until you have a bad season or a losing team,  then I think the run hasn't 'ended'. Remember my signature below, "Just the beginning"!  ;D

Curious why Bluedove has such a problem with Nederland? Should a Nederland basketball team beat Ozen very often? Probably not, but it sure is sweet when it happens. Especially now with two HF basketball transfers!!!
I'm always picking on teams I'm jealous of ;) BUT-TTTT! Nederland had a nice little run for awhile ;)
HAD??
H A D!!!!

Hey Soulja-Have U seen Ned play this summer or in Houston this Fall? Remember their JV also won district last year, and their Freshman tied for district champs. They are young with fresh faces, I agree. But these kids can play some round ball, no doubt!
 4.
What about 3rd & 4th place teams who go further in the playoffs? A couple if years ago one of the Klein teams, went further than the district champs. Is that a fluke?  I don't know, but it was interesting.
It happens sometimes, but I believe it is more the exception than the rule.
 5. I think it will be closer than some are predicting but Ozen pulls it out: Ozen 34 Lumberton 26
 6.
How many seniors did WO-S lose from last year team? What kind of size will they have this year?
They did not lose much. Maybe 1 or 2?? They were young last year.
 7.
I've seen Kelly play the village multiple times they are alright usually but not to great.
I've not seen them play myself, but they have two D-1 commits on this year's team. One kid, who is a 6'9"  SR verbally committed to Maryland, and another 6'8" JR to Pepperdine. Sounds like they are expected to be pretty good this year. Not many HS teams have that kind of size.
 8. I was joking when I guessed that! And these guys are the Gold Standard on this topic? Look Dove, everyone has an opinion, I just find it hard to rely on a group in Austin to make a blanket statement on an entire state. Plus, who cares if 4Au is 'down' this year? How is that relevant to who wins? I think that's what we are currently interested in, no? If a kid is good enough to go to the next level, great. But why does it matter if a field of 100 or so schools is less talented (in one's opinion) than the year before?
