Just wondering if any Nederland fans have seen Vidor play this year or have any Vidor fans have seen Ned play this year?

Yep. He is probably the only senior (except 'Vegas') who was expected to see quality PT this year. Nederland will have a young team for sure. Definitely gonna miss Trent! I agree. Not having your starting QB makes a big difference. It was like night and day last year comparing the Vidor game to the PNG game. I lived in Houston for over 10 years, and I go there every week for business. Houston is very 'patchy'. You can have a $2M home on one street, walk 3-4 blocks, and have a 'rough patch'. The location where U of H sits is not considered to be one of the nicer parts of the city. I'm not 'dissin' the area, I'm just making an observation.

He coaches an elite AAU team (of course none of those players on his AAU team play at Yates or that would be illegal ::)) but that doesn't keep him from............ ;) :D [/quote]

Moving to a school for athletic purposes is just plain wrong. And don't give me this silly story about communications, come on now (funny though). My great uncle moved (b4 school started) back in the 60s. His son who played 3 sports had to sit out his senior yr.

Scoring 2 TDs against one of the best programs in the area shows that he has potential to be one of the best WRs in the area. Maybe that's what 1990 was saying. Will have to wait a few more games to see if he is for real.

So... we have the NBA where players get paid-IMO-way too much. Then, instead of recruiting players for college, they are now being paid to play college ball like the pros. And now we have High Schools recruiting (like college does) players not only from one school to the next, but internationally?!?! This is waaayy out of hand. When and where is it going to stop? Before we know it, High School kids will be getting paid. Maybe I'm being naive, maybe it's already happening? Kids are being used too much by people who do not have their best interest at hand.

Wouldn't read into it too much. Great game, great win for the Dogs, but we must stay hungry week to week. Rankings don't mean a whole lot IMO, especially this early in the season. Does look like we have great potential to make a deep run though!

I just remember losing to them, and it seemed like they won district JUST ABOUT every year starting in 1986 (I think that was when they joined 20-4A) through 2000.
