He had plenty of talent to make the playoffs at least once. He did not encourage the boys like (has shown) can be done.

He seems to believe that Coach L should get recognition (which I think he did within his district, no?). Although he says that he didn't want to take anything from Coach E, he actually was trying to IMO. He doesn't realize that 3 of his players played football too, and Forney broke his leg at the beginning of FB season and his hand at the end of FB season.

I'll give Coach L respect if he does something more than one season. Not sure if his kids had lots of talent or what. I just know he did NOTHING for the Nederland program when he was there. Hardwood-he did NOT prepare any of these kids to get where they are today. Coach E is the one who coached them during little dribblers, etc and implemented a winning attitude, along with their work ethic and dedication to the program...

Once they reach their mid season stride, they'll be battling for their 3rd straight district title. They KNOW how to win!

It's possible-mainly b/c they've won back-to-back district titles. I agree w/Dogs1218 though. A lot of good young talent, but will take time to get to a top 20 ranking. I DO think they will battle for the district title again, but replacing 5 starters is NEVER an easy task.

So...fouls are supposed to be called for a full 40min like they did in the Butler game, but only for 39:59 in the UT game?

TABC has adjusted their Final Rankings for class 4A. Nederland is now #12 as they so deserved!

Anyone surprised Chris Cunningham from Nederland didn't make it? He made game-winning '3'  against Huntsville, and scored final 4 pts (at FT line) against Humble. Leading scorer in 2 of 4 playoff games.

Where the €£^#¥? Is Nederland? Ozen, #12, really? Let's review: Nederland ranked 18, 19th most of the season. Ozen not ranked in top 25 all season (unless it was early). Nederland beat Ozen TWICE! Nederland beat Humble who finished 1st in their district. Ozen lost to Kingwood Park who was 2nd in that same district. Nederland makes Reg tourney, makes it to 'Sweet 16'. Ozen loses one round earlier in round of 32. Can ANYONE please explain this absurdity? Who votes on this? Coaches? UIL? AP?
