Havent been a fan of Ball ever since I saw then a few times in the Bulldog Classic.. Cocky is the major reason.. Big time
Doesn't matter what your personal reasons are, you should want the team who beat you to go all the way. Then you can look back and say, "at least we lost to the best team in the state."
 2.
Do you think the "top dogs" don't want Coach English to win.  Isn't there two assistants, which one are you calling mindless, or is it both?
Did anyone notice there was just ONE assistant coach at the Ball game? The other assistant coach was in Florida at Disney World w/the Nederland drill team....REALLY!?!?!? I blame it all on Coach Neuman not wanting the basketball team (or any other sports program in Ned) to do better than football b/c he is so insecure and threatened by EVERYONE!!! The people of Nederland need to push him out.

He was the best player of his district and scored 33 against a good Mexia team. Varsity for 4 years and a big part of the team the past 4 years. He's up there with the best no doubt. Especially over Smith from Central.
Why was Smith thrown in your post?
Different Smith from a different Central (Pollack) near Lufkin.
 4. Was hopin' to see U faint Scooter-sorry we let U down. Happy Birthday. BTW-How old U b?
 5. Great Season Dawgs! Ball improved a lot since the Nederland Tourney.
 6. Beginning of 4th. Dawgs in trouble-Smith fouled out....again! 59-37 Ball
 7. Nederland 14 fouls Ball 6 fouls (0 in 2nd half)
 8. Let's go HJ!!! FYI-Nederland down at half to Galveston Ball 34-25
 9. Forney not playing much b/c of ankle. K. Smith has 3 fouls and 5 or 6 blocks. English leading team w/8 pts.
 10. Dawgs hangin' in there. Ball leads 25-18

 13.
Just because someone picks the other team to beat "your" team, is not a lack of respect, it's a PREDICTION. People can have opinions that don't have to agree with "your" team winning every game.  ::) I've seen post after post from Soulja saying how good he thinks Nederland is doing and done this season and Honest Abe you have called him out about not having respect for Nederland.   ::)
I'm just trying to convince him that Nederland has a legit chance to win. It's not too late to jump on their bandwagon. Another reason I'm on him is b/c I don't want him to go 5-10 again tonight-ha! ;)
 14. Every team has made it this deep for a reason-they r good. There is not a team remaining who can b overlooked!
 15.
has there been any word about Forney's injury.... will he be playing Friday night?
He's gonna play. Just rolled his ankle a bit. He's a tough kid/man.
i will admit i was one of those that predicted defeat for Nederland.  Not trying to be negative, but didn't think they could pull it off.  I feel the same way this week, i just don't think they have enough to pull it off.  It would be great to see it Nederland pull off the upset and take a bite of crow.
No sweat Hawk. I picked Cleveland over HJ. Since HJ won though, I am NOW a believer and will pick themto win from here on. It just took ONE BIG win like that to convince me. Nederland has beat EVERY 4A team they've played this yr, and I think they deserve the same respect that HJ has.

Show a little support Soulja..... I know deep down you are cheering for us just a little bit..... you can admit it.   8) :D
I asked the same thing earlier. Outside of Nederland fans, only Lazeek and Scooter and stevenash r giving Nederland the respect they deserve!
 19. BTW-Nederland has NOT lost to a 4A team this year, Galveston Ball has though.
....Probably the best...based on their pedigree???
based on their talent, their records, their wins, etc. etc. etc.
Nederland has beat plenty of good teams, and their record is 32-4. What is it about Ball's 'talent' that Nederland doesn't have? They have the talent too. I understand the lack of convidence U have in Nederland b/c of their history, but lack of talent, victories, etc, etc is a weak statement.
 21. Nederland will slow up the game. It won't b that high scoring. Nederland 57 Galvstn Ball 53
HJ is having a great season, no doubt. THE top team in the area...come on! Silsbee beat them twice, Nederland, Central, and LC-M(?) also beat them. They are a solid team, but not better than Silsbee or Nederland (regardless the fact that Silsbee is already out-they beat them twice!)
Abe, you are probably right but I am betting  they are more improved over the past 3 weeks than anyone else in this area.
I'm NOT going to argue with that! After their win last night, I'm on board...Unlike AAW and Soulja NOT being on board w/Nederland. Come on guys...what's it going to take???
Everyone is pulling for Nederland, but they are still going to be underdogs the rest of the year.  Now that Cleveland and Silsbee are gone, HJ is actually a favorite to get to state.
Cleveland and Silsbee were the best b/c of an opinion though, right? Two weeks ago, we ALL thought Silsbee would b in the St Tourney, not HJ. Nederland is the underdog from here on out based on their lack of B-Ball success over the years (55+). The fact that Ball has 2 DI players who have verbally committed does not equate to a better team or a victory over Nederland-That's why they play the game. Nederland won't gain respect until they win state or have a long run of success IMO. I think everyone forgets this same Nederland team was 1 game away from playing Yates in the Reg Tourney last year, and they have not lost a game since early December.
