It's tough to win at Central. I agree that we match up better against Ozen overall. The reason Ozen beat us is because we didn't have an answer for Boyd. He knows how to use his big body, and we didn't have enough muscle to stop him. In regards to Central, hopefully English has something up his sleeve that will frustrate them. We need a kid off the bench to come in and hit some big shots for us.

Beaumont fans pretend like we got lucky one year. Here is proof otherwise, but I know it won't make a difference to the haters. The last 2 years we have lost ground, mainly bc we've 'been down'. that's the reason we now have a losing record over this period. BTW-That's the excuse that MOST Beaumont fans used from 2010-2013, 'our talent level was low that year'.

Not sure what you're looking for. Bradyb made it pretty clear. English does more with less talent. It's simply that black and white. The stats support his comment and it's hard to deny. Doesn't matter what anyone posts, you won't agree, so why should anyone try to help you understand? There have been plenty of facts and opinions given From Bradyb, Dick vitale, and txhoops. Other than your opinion, it's pretty much accepted that English has proven over and over that he can 'do more' with 'less talent'. All you care about is state rings. Those are great, but it doesn't mean everything when it comes to a great player or a great coach.

Ok, then we beat central twice and lost to Ozen twice. So 2-2, not 3-1.

These are the records vs. Central AND Ozen in district play and post season. The 2009 season may be 2-2. Hard to remember that far back, but I know the rest of the years are correct.

Last night was an anomaly. He was playing out of his mind. Usually doesn't play at that level. Hope he continues to improve. Not Varsity ready until he shows consistency.

FFor the record,, Ned was 0-24 before English arrived in Nederland. Since then 16-17. But you haters are right, English is just a pretty average coach nothing special about him Haters don't care for FACTS, so keep hating!

Wrong! Vidor beat Ozen twice in district, once in a tourney. Yes Ozen won district, but Vidor still beat them 3 times that year.

BTW-You left Perk off your list of D1 players. The number of D1 players in the history of basket ball in: Vidor-ZERO Nederland: 3 Walt Davis (1949) Jaimie Weaver (1983) Colton Weisbrod (2014) I'm hopeful it won't be more than 30 years before we get another D-1 kid.
