  4. Thanks for the props! That's a good question. Will have to ask a few people, bc I can't remember past 10 years-lol.
  5. Glad my Dawgs kept the 19 game district win streak over PNG in tact. One more victory (in 4 weeks) to complete a 10 year run and 20 straight Dubyas. I will admit the game was closer than I wanted it to be. But no surprise since it's a rivalry game AND the Indians packed their house. I remember the year we went 12-0 in district a few years back, Ned only beat PNG by 2 at the Rez. Happy to see our boys remain calm and take care of business.
  6. Nederland has not lost to PNG since English took over as HC. That's an 18 game winning streak over 9 years. Let's keep the streak alive!!
  7. Central gonna take meeting #1 by 5
  8. Tuesday's game against Ozen was encouraging to know we CAN hang close with the best in the area/state. My concern is finishing those games with a W. I think 8 is the most points we've lost all season. Most of those games we 'should have won', but didn't find a way to earn the W. We have to do a better job at finding ways to win these close games or we will be sent home early in the post season.
  9. Central tried stalling. Ned with a steal!
  10. 62/57 central with 1:50 remainjng
  11. Ned answers with a 3. 57-52
  12. And another turnover. Now 57-49
  13. Dawgs up 43-42 w/1:30 remaining in 3rd
  14. Half: central 31 ned 25
  15. 3:00 remain in 1st. Ned up 8-5
  16. Looking back over the past 4-5 years, Ned controls the tempo of the game 80% of the time when playing Ozen and Central which keeps the dogs in the game. For some reason, opponents score much less against us compared to their season average. So I agree with you. If Central can pick up the tempo, it won't be pretty for my Dawgs. If it were THAT easy to do, then both BMT schools would play an up tempo game every time against Ned. Ned does not want to play Loyola Marymount style basketball (those were some fun games to watch).
  17. Oh my good friend/nemesis OZF! I have truly missed our discussions/debates! ;-) Just as a quick reminder, someone on this website (I think it was...OZFinest, yes you) who said that NO WAY will Ned beat Ozen in round three of the playoffs. As a reminder, Nederland won that game, and OZF was nowhere to be found afterwards to explain what happened. Never the less, love the trash talk. You KNOW it gets me going when you (and BD3) make comments like this. :-)
  18. The question was, "CAN Ned beat Ozen or Central this year". After last night, it's quite obvious that Ned CAN beat Ozen. We had the game in our control, then we missed FTs and gave the game away. I'm convinced we CAN beat Ozen. Will we?? Only time will tell. IMO, to say Ned CAN'T beat Ozen or Central this year is a ridiculous opinion. The only reason I took a screen shot was so I could remember the topic. I knew (at the time the comment was made) that Ned COULD beat either of these teams.
  19. There was a topic about this a few weeks back. When asked if Ned has a chance at beating Central or Ozen, the answers were short and quick...NOPE! Ozensfinest and AAW were the two who I recall answering quickly. Knowing better, I took a screen shot of the remarks.
  20. Since Nederland has no chance of winning, I'll go with Central by 30+
  21. The refs last night were from San Antonio.
  22. Here is the answer: With about 4 min/3:30 remaining, Ozen fouled us and we missed the front end of the 1-1 twice. Ozen capitalized with an easy bucket on a deep 3. That tied the game, so we stalling wasn't a viable option, IMO.
