Over those 3 years, Ned compiled a record of 88-23 and 7-3 in the postseason. They had a good run.

Georgetown plays Brazosport Friday, a team they have already beat by 10 this year. Georgetown COULD represent the Region, and that really hurts my stomach. Just bc they are not flashy, does not mean that are garbage. Just curious: Which game did you attend last night?

Maybe you thought they were down bc he scored low against ToeToe and company. English averaged 16 on the season and 18 in district. Heck of a duo. Congrats to all who were recognized.

Also, Ned struggled at the line. We started 2/9 and finished 6/13 for the entire game. Our season average is over 72%. Hate to see these kids end their season on a game like this.

Tough way to end a season when you lead the entire game and give it away at the end. Great season guys, proud of all of you. We will miss you Seniors. Thanks for the memories, and good luck to you in the future. For those of you coming back, remember this feeling, and don't let it happen next year. Will be a lot of new faces on the team next year.

Trust me, I'm the last guy who wants to give everyone a blue ribbon. I think 4 is too many. When I was in school, only 2 went. Back then, WOS won district/state in FB nearly every year and Lincoln did the same in Bball. That meant only one other district teams plays in post season. There was always at least one good team left out. I support 3 teams advancing.

[/quote]That's a hard question. That's a lot of talent to coach! ;D Don't know if Coach E would implement his style of play/coaching or play a more up tempo style. His record shows that he can do more with less, and suggests that Central would still be playing if he were their coach. I didn't see the game (obviously), so it's hard to say what would have happened in THAT game. He may have done a better job at adjusting (during the game) to the matchup against a team like Georgetown. Sometimes though, the coach can put his players in the right position, but kids gotta execute that plan. What do you think?

It concerns me that they beat Central Tuesday night. A team we could not beat in 3 games. From what I hear, we match up well against them. I don't know if we have lost a game this year who plays a slow tempo other than HCYA. HCYA beat us by 2, in a game we should have won by 10. We were ice cold in that game. The Ozen/Crosby game should be a fun game to watch. Both quick and athletic teams, but I think Ozen's D will prevail in the end. I think we all agree that Silsbee will have the biggest challenge advancing. Tigers need to do better shooting FTs. They also need to limit TOs, block out for rebounding, and STAY OUT OF FOUL TROUBLE!!!! Sorry for yelling, but I've noticed the Tigers seem to have a few players with 4 fouls just about every game.

Seems like these two teams are very similar in style. Should be an evenly matched game. Coaching could be the difference.

[/quote]True that Lincoln and Sislbee didn't have move-ins back then, but neither did the competition from Houston. 20 years ago, teams simply suited up the kids who lived in their districts (the way it was intended to be)! All recruiting was left up to colleges ONLY!!

It's all about match ups, and Nederland matches up well, IMO (much better than against Central). At this point, all teams are good, but all teams are beatable.
