Hey KHSAlum400-Which kids at Kountze should be ranked? Any standouts or is everyone good?

[/quote]Don't be too surprised. Ned was 24-5 late last year and were not ranked until the following week. In addition, Ned was ranked #12 last week, and we won AT PA Memorial and AT Silsbee, yet we dropped to #15? Just shows what the voters know/don't know. It's just a guess for them. Not being ranked will only motivate Kelly to 'prove' they belong, and they will work harder, which will pay off in the end, IMO.

Will be a big week for LCM as y'all play two team's who will be competing for that 4th spot. After looking at results from Livingston this year, I think the Bears should win this game. BUT, the game is being played in the Lion's Den, and it is not easy to win over there. PNG did play well against HJ last week, so maybe they are turning their season around? The Indians usually start the season slow, then improve drastically over the season. I think it depends on how well AJ Smith plays. Stop him, and LCM wins.

Ned travels to Vidor Tuesday to open District 20-4A play. Has anyone watched Vidor play this year?

I haven't seen any small schools play, and I haven't seen all Big schools play either. I have watched many of these players for 2-3 years, and I do not claim to be a player evaluator: 1. Weisbrod 2. Mitchell 20. AJ Smith-PNG 21. Dante Wilson-Silsbee 22. Jacoby Jones-Ozen I have also not seen T. Edwards play.

Can still be an entertaining topic for us to discuss/debate. Who wants to start with some nominations?

Closer than I expected, but then read in the article about the FTs. Fortunately, for Central, they had a big lead while missing them. I doubt that is normal for them.

[/quote]As a Ned fan, I was surprised at our zone D, bc we play man 90% of the time. I'm guessing English realized his kids did not match up well with Silsbee's speed, so he went with (and stuck to) his zone. However, I don't think Silsbee usually shoots 3/23 for 95% of most games. I noticed the Tigers made a few in last 2 min or so but they were in transition when those shots were made. Silsbee is very good at offensive rebounding. I'm guessing y'all had at least 15 offensive rebounds; Many times 3 in one possession. Dawgs MUST do a better job at blocking out. May have been different last night since we were in zone as opposed to man.
