Can't believe he dropped 45 last night and nobody on here talking about that! Apparently he wa being held back at OKC. I knew he was good, but not this good. True test will come when they play a good team. Detroit and Atlanta are not top tier teams, so I'm not going to get too excited. Rockets are already more exciting than last year.

The gap has closed to less than 30. It was over 300 about 20 min ago.

[/quote] Yep. HJ doesn't rebuild, they reload! Same with Silsbee, , Kountze, and Ozen. PA Lincoln use to do the same when they existed, PAM now too much of a FB school IMO. They still have the athletes, but they don't all focus on basketball-only like they did when Lincoln was around.

A school is interested in you when they come see you practice/play or make a phone call to you and/or your coach.They are serious about you when they invite you to take a visit to their campus.

Those outside of MC have never walked the halls of either school during the week of MCM. There is an event of some sort EVERY DAY. Most kids (and faculty) are involved, and the hype is in the air all week. Usually gets more heated closer to game day. For those of you who were in town Tuesday, I understand why you feel that way, bc not much happens on Mon, Tues, Wed night. I saw Facebook pics from both Ned and PNG people today with their kids dressed as 'nerds' from the opposing school. The rivalry is still very alive, trust us!  ;) BTW-Cheermom's cooking stinks, and Bamakid throws like a girl!  ;D

Most of them agree that Ned will win. Last year, there was much more hype bc both teams had good records. The Coldspring/Huffman game has no bearing on MCM. It will still be crazy Friday night, and there are events going on daily at BOTH schools mocking each other. The entire week of school (for students and faculty) is focused soley on the game Friday night.

Say what you want, but this IS a huge game every year. If it wasn't, then why could I not get a ticket last year or the year before? Because i 'know' some people, i gained access to the games, but watched from the track. Just bc there are not as many people talking 'smack' this year does not devalue what this game means to people in MCM. A few Ned fans tried to start a thread, but not many PNG fans have much to say. Same happened a few years back when PNG had a good team, Ned fans didn't say much. It gets heated when BOTH team's are winning. Doesn't mean people don't care about it. If PNG wins Friday night, I can guarantee this board will be 'HOT' and PNG fans will be reenergized. Unless you have lived in MC all of your life, it's hard to understand, and it's hard to describe it in words.
