Don't know anyone named Seay? The three players who play FB and BB are: Colton Kimler 6'3" Koby Couron 6'4" DeShawn Washington 6'4 Doesn't matter though bc BD3 just informed us all that Central will win state this year, so why show up?  Seay was on freshman team last year but would probably join the other 3 listed on varsity this year
Ok. Don't know him (yet). Is he a Guard? Post? Forward?
 2.

Is it really true that Central with only 6 or 7 players, beat Yates with 25?  Hmmm- is it the "slightest" possibility that Yates is not as impressive as they are "painted" on this board?
Yates wins on defense  and  :-X
From an eye witness who was at the game, Central had no problem with their 'defense'/press. Maybe Wise is the X factor in which you are keeping silent about?
 3.
One of them was not all of them. Its just like last year when they could have played for the district title outright but instead let Nederland go in as the 1st seed. And again they chose to go there with 6 players and at the end of the day are you satisfied with just showing up and beating Yates. The mentality has to change amongst our young athletes, are we teaching them that if you win a couple of games and beat a great team its ok if you dont play wanna anymore ,cause you proved your point.
Good post!
I've said it earlier I seen all teams this Summer an 20-4A will go Central Ozen Nederland Central Too Much Size Talent an Depth Ozen Jordan Hunter is Unstoppable Nederland Lack of Athleticism
You mean the same 'lack of athleticism' that led them to win 29 games last year, share the district title, and win 2 playoff games with only one senior on the team?  ::)

 8.
You guys/gals nominating Ned players are definitely homers. We do not have any player that should be considered in this category. English is a good shooting guard, but not a PG. Our biggest weakness is handling the ball. If you think I'm nuts just ask BD3 he knows exactly what I'm talking about.  Tell em Blue.
I don't think anyone nominated any Ned players in this category. You may want to read the entire thread. I don't know where 'Ihoopallday' is from, but I don't believe he is from Nederland.
 9.
Who's all playing for Ned? They should have their starters and perhaps their entire team there.
Lormier and Taylor did not play this weekend along with 3 FB kids, and English did not play in 2nd half against Bellaire bc of an injury. He played today, and the team lost by 2 against HCYA.
 10.
Nederland wont "out talent" many teams this year. Their strength will be fundamentals and discipline
Ahhh...the building blocks to success that won us 29 games last year!  8)
 11. TW stopped on 4th down. Next play, Cons scores on a 65 yd TD run.
 12. 72 yd TD run. TW leads 7-0
 13. After TW gave up 63 to Katy and Cons gave up 70 to Lufkin, I was hoping for a shootout. Quiet the opposite so far.
 14.
whats going on?
Nothing yet, but the kid has a great arm. Tied at 0. TW defense playing good D. Offense is stagnant.

You won't get any arguments out of me
all these teams are in SETX.... your definitely sippin on somethin it'll be between central, ozen, and nederland.  Nederland has the experience, central is young and quick, not sure what ozen has.
Central will walk all over Nederland this year. They have all the talent and depleted Ozen's players. Good move Central alums. No one saw it coming till it was too late :-X
Central not gonna 'walk all over Nederland' this year. You sippin' on the same thing with my buddy, Mytwocents? Central has talent, no doubt, but it will take more than pure talent to beat my Dawgs!  8)
 17.
Awesome article... The kid will only get bigger and faster... He does always have a smile on his face and sure would hate to be the one on the other side of him when he does wipe it off. I would have to run screaming like a little girl LOL
I've never seen him NOT smiling. He enjoys life to the fullest!
 18.
I agree with Badsanta...Wilson from Silsbee has to be listed here. Very quick, has control of the offense, good passer, handles pressure, and a defensive terror.
Is he the kid who is about 5'7" and super quick?
 19.
How do we know who's going to be on varsity when  not one game have been played yet?
Coaches know.
 20.
I believe it's gonna be a toss up between Central, Nederland, and Ozen just like last year. Central is gonna be good but I don't think they are gonna completely dominate. I see these teams splitting amongst each other like last year. Yeah Ozen is young but they will play hard and with all that speed it's gonna make them seem better. Nederland as the experience but not really the athleticism factor. Central is bringing some young guns back from last year but it will be interesting to see who will replace the go to scoring guard position that was held by Kristian Smith. The rest of this district is gonna be battling for that fourth and final spot. Plus I hear that the Collins kid from Livingston might not even play this year so that will really make it wide open.
If that's the case, PNG may take that 4th spot. AJ Smith returns from last year, and I expect his foot work has improved. PNG played Ned, Central, and Ozen very tough last year. They did lose Nelson, but I believe they return a few Lettermen. Anyone know?
 21. A HS coach wants his PG to be able to handle pressure, run the offense, and be able to drive to the bucket. I don't see many 'pure PGs' in HS. Soulja says Guillery can shoot and so can English. Never known JJ to shoot much. I think JJ's strength is his defense and his ability to handle pressure well. A true PG gets his team involved by penetration and assists. A true PG is a pass-first kind of guy. While English does handle the ball well and gets his share of assists, he is more of a shooter first, IMO. I think the elder Hunter boy is about the purest PG in the area. He looks to pass first. He can get to the hole and distribute. Additionally, the PG from Silsbee is that way too (from what I've seen). The kid will just blow by anyone, and he gets the ball off quickly. Lott from PAM is another PG who likes to shoot (don't blame him bc he's got a nice stroke). I don't see him as a pure PG though. does Devonte Johnson play PG? I know he also has a nice stroke from outside, and he can take it to the hole as well. He should be in the conversation as well, IMO. If we are going with best pure PG, I'll take Hunter. Out of the three mentioned in the 1st comment, I will go with English (go ahead, call me a Homer)!  ;D
