But Nederland will need more transfers to win outright district for the next 3-4 years. [/quote] True. Although we bring back most of our team, including our best two players, we will be lacking in height. Not that we were huge this year, but we are losing a 6'5" senior in Lubera. We have 2 other 6'4" kids who came off the bench this year who also return. Hopefully they can find some time to work on their game during the offseason since they are both football first guys. Who knows, maybe someone will grow 4-5" over the summer!  ;D Kimler came on strong at the end of the year, and he will be a huge asset next season with his athleticism. He has the tools, but he is also a football first guy.

[/quote] Na its definitely has nothing to do with Nederland I promise you...You don't go from dominating to finishing 3rd in district i think you might be giving Nederland too much credit cause you seen what happen the last two times they played [/quote] Nice try on trying to discredit Nederland.  ;) Ozen may have won the last 2 meetings, but Nederland won the previous 5 meetings (over past 3 seasons) against the Panthers. Others want to say Ned should not be in the same gym as Ozen, as was the case b4 Coach English arrived. Ozen was better back then, no doubt, but it's not JUST Ozen who Nederland is now all of the sudden beating. There are tons of team's who use to blow out Nederland, who we now either beat or play a lot more competitively. HS sports is (obviously) cyclical. Some say the talent is different in Bmt, some say it's the coaching. I am not here to agree or disagree with that. My point is that Nederland is a lot better, now that we have a coach who dedicates his life to the program. Say what you will about your Ozen team, however, please don't try to discredit what Coach E has accomplished, and the fact that Nederland is just a whole lot better now.  8)

Ned ended up with 22 total, but that's bc we were forced to foul at the end. Had they tried to draw a foul on a charge, I don't think they would have called it on Weisbrod. Too bad Ned didn't play with the same intensity and sense of urgency as they showed in the 4th Q of the game lat night. If we play like that (very similar to Dayton game) for four Qs, I think the Bulldogs would be the team advancing. However, we came out scared of a team who we play at least twice a year.

1. Yes I am employed, and my family and patients DO care. 2. You chose to announce who you are on this board. I choose not to bc I want to protect my son who contributes to the Nederland basketball program. 3. I am not the one who attacked you personally about getting fired and being unemployed in your coaching career. I am questioning your comparison to Bobby Knight, yet you change the topic to bank accounts. Every time you are losing a debate, you change the topic. That's fine, a lot of people do it. It works sometimes, but not with seasoned debaters. 4. I've defended our kids, team, and community, and there is nothing wrong with that, IMO. Our season is over, and we will be back next year hopefully advancing further. We have a lot of work to do. With 4 returning starters and the 1st 5 kids off the bench returning, we will have higher expectations next year. We all know this year was a rebuilding year, and we proved many wrong (not directing that at you). Being a rebuilding year, we were ecstatic to be CO-Champs with Central. However, we would have loved to have finished 3rd and made a return trip to Katy like Ozen. Hopefully Coach E will get a BASKETBALL coach who can help him a bit more next year. The kids deserve it.
