Ok, look guys. We may not agree with DV about many things, and he does have an opinion like everyone. He does like to push buttons frequently, but that does not give us the right to attack him personally. As someone mentioned, we KNOW our team's strengths and weaknesses, and DV is nice enough to point out the obvious. I know he respects Coach E and what he has done. Coming from Nederland, we are family, and we stick up for each other. As I've said before, maybe DV doesn't understand that coming from the big city. Doesn't make him wrong or evil, just different. He has tried to defend himself many, many, many, many times. He has told us over and over his intentions are not the way we read them. I am actually starting to somewhat believe him. ;) Maybe he just expresses himself and his opinions differently than all of us?? Anyway, let's get back to topic. Dayton earned everyone's respect Tuesday night, but the better team prevailed. Go Dawgs!

[/quote] It was early before the season but they play together all year, even during the summer. They play well together. They are in the playoffs ;) [/quote] Hmmmm?? Sound like another team you know?  ;) I've talked to a few people about them, and was told that they play the game very similar to Nederland. Should be a good matchup that will probably be decided down to the wire (like many playoff games) at this stage.

It was like everyone was waiting for someone else to step up, all game long. Zack English is perfectly capable of scoring 20+ EVERY game. He is too unselfish. Watching him in the 4th qtr of this game is a perfect example of what he could do every game. I would like to see him in every game with a scoring mindset that he had in this 4th qtr!! I think this team is looking for that type of leadership. [/quote] Great assessment! He IS too unselfish. This team DOES need a leader if they want to return to Katy next weekend for the Regional Tourney. #12, Hanley also stepped it up. He looked very confident, and gave them a much needed spark as well.

But I also don't like the taste of crow, so I kept quiet.  ;D I predicted a 22 point victory based on what others told me. However, the team who showed up last night had vastly improved since December. Luckily we woke up in the 4th Q!

[/quote]Actually, those are the more dangerous teams in the playoffs.  Those teams that are well rounded are very hard to stop.  You can't key in on just one or 2 things.  They do a lot of things well from different spots whereas teams with your K. Smiths and your S. Prudhommes, you know where the damage will come from.  Don't let your guard down.  Consider ALL of these teams dangerous.  At the same time, Nederland has it's strength.  Coaching and great roll players and a couple of big gamers in Weisbrod and English.  (English showed a playoff flare/swagger that I like in the game vs. Dayton).
