i dont know who you are but i can assure you that people do read this board and for you to be a sphmr and say that on the internet is too bold for your position i can gaurantee it.....you might want to reconsider that comment bc09 and theres no way they will get rid of him...he has too many wins in his stay here for them to just throw him out..if they did they would have to take in consideration the field and how since hes been in charge its progressively gotten worse...or maybe his innability to finish the job and get a title..or his total lack of social skills..or his very open and outright bad relationship with members of the booster club... a lot of people may think im still bitter over the last jasper game and am just here to bring him down and get even, but its not true. i just honestly and humbly have a dissagreement with how he runs the bc baseball program, coaches and relates to his players, and doesnt feel the need to do anything extra to upgrade the facilities. i think this is a very serious issue that needs to be looked at by the people of bridge city and those in charge

we dont have the worst coaching staff...i love coach laird and coach moore....those two guys know their stuff i think lcm has a great staff as does jasper

i know all that but i do know you're close to him...so yours and his opinions are one in the same...

with every one of shadows posts it convinces me just a little more that hes the man at question : maybe the kids should go against his wishes that kids play in the summer and sit the summer out so they can stay healthy, and get away from all those "fancy pants" select coaches and their facilities

i dont think his coach helped him....not for sure on that but my guess would be no and that my friend is the coaches job...not some random fan's

the guy works hard and gets OUTS which a lot of people over look...he doesnt have the big 15k games anymore but he knows how to pitch which will be to his advantage in college hes got a decent fastball...filthy change up and a pretty good curve...when he hits his spots hes one of the best

well to force errors you have to put the ball in play and if hes bringin it 95...that ups the anty a little from 85 and makes it a wee bit tougher to hit

only beef i have is i would trade offensive mvp and 1st team outfielders...dishon for calhoun...just my opinion, dishon hit for more power, whle calhoun was a big average guy, the home run dishon hit off treece in bc might be the reason we went to the playoffs... congrats to everyone

i'll tell you this...every single game was intense and the stands were packed no matter where the venue... after playing three games in a row w/ them and that atmosphere i went and played a babe ruth game and i felt like i was playing in a library. i would deffinately say this year sparked a new rivalry, forget lcm

pretty impressive performance in the tourney thats for sure....but best ever? might be a stretch...but heck you won the thing lol it might have been a different story had middlebrooks pitched...but congrats anyway.. glad we lost to the state champs

one of the harder working guys....we used to always go to his house to hit, his parents didnt care that was cool, no matter what time. and i'll never forget stringer hitting a bomb off him when we were 14...derek was so mad lol. congrats

dishon told me he didnt put his name in for eligability because hes sold on going to lsu....i dont think he would have gotten the money he wanted so he probably thought whats the use then.... so we'll see in 3 years...good luck to stringer and the rest of the guys from setx though....i'd kill to be drafted lol

this is the last thing im going to say about this... for one to get a true perspective i guess you would have to go through 4 years of "his" program and see what goes on and how he handles things. some guys like him, and thats fine. but some want to rip on him all year long....AND OPENLY FOR THAT MATTER and when the seasons over...be buddy buddy w/ him on the internet...and im not gonna back down just because i dont have to play for him anymore....or make nice because i get to play in college...lets say at lamar for example. and his assistance typically last 2-3 years...no need to elaborate. last point: have you seen our facilities?? they're the worst in setx when they should be top noch...but they are a direct reflection on the coach...sorry he might not get the funds he wants...but he sure doesnt try to make friends :

just by talking to coach bryant you can tell the guy knows the game...i mean honestly he really really does no lie. and i like the way he is just talking to him one on one BUT!! he lacks the ability to teach it...its no fault of his he just cant, sorry. and maybe its just me but i believe he walked into a baseball heaven when it comes to bc. and i wish so bad i could have played for someone that mentored and taught kids and instilled something life long in them besides baseball, and when you messed up not jumped all over you 100% of the time. you cannot even dare to say he is a better coach than coach young....i know most of those who played under young would back him, heck they're trying to get the field renamed after him. if i think real hard i can only remember coach bryant COACHING 2 things, a slow roller to 3rd and turning two in the middle. the rest was basically up to us. so if this is " bashing" im sorry but its something people need to read just as much as the good stuff about him. after all we went through this year he had one sentence for us after game three vs jasper "i appreciate the seniors help this year, and young guys good luck....in the future" and he said it as cold as you just read it to yourself. idk maybe he just didnt like our senior class, (and i dont think he did). one day my freshman year we played in buna, the buna varsity was still taking bp when we got there...coach bryant walked up and sat down behind the cage in a chair and didnt say anything...a buna coach there said "hey....just like last year." c'mon ben get your head out of (you know)

except the outfield...(nederland scrimmage) lol

ok thats my point he told him stop when HE WAS ALREADY AT THE BAG you cannot stop that fast, which is why he slipped. and ofcourse he was looking down he was making sure he touched third on the way home running full speed. that play was the coaches fault, yes. but should not have come down to that...top of the 1st runners on 2nd and 3rd NO OUTS and we get no runs.

we have the best fans in setx when it comes to baseball...thank you to all that supported us

you really didnt have to say any of that...no one on here is giving jasper anything but good luck and congrats....and you have to get on here and say all that crap about dishon when you dont know the half of it and about revenge and all that stuff...i dont think the person who started this thread was on the team, we just wanted to play ball
