i think you're right but its still about us, we have guys that can catch up to that dishon took a taylor musik 94 mph fastball about 400 feet as a sophomore...

in one of their wins against liberty eylau, liberty eylau did NOT throw middlebrooks which is their ace that beat us in state last year

hudson vs japer carthage vs bc best two districts in the region keep advancing for a reason. i'll take setx in this one hopefully we can have a district championship rematch to see who goes to austin!

ok well heres my two cents: forget about regular season, this is the playoffs...let that clear the air here for a second. ok that said championships do not go to the teams that posses the better records, the colts would win it every year if it did, but the teams that are playing the best at the time being usually advance. bc has overcome a lot in just the last three weeks, we have played 7 playoff games, carthage has played 2 (not battle tested) cameron yoe kicked the ball around w/ 5 errors and 6 unearned runs, and i dont believe taylor brought their best. the state champs lost 14 games last year! let that sit for a while enough about carthage, this series will come down to us, whether we're mentally tough enough to play at the level we know we're capable. two years ago we were the underdogs against a lufkin hudson team that had two lefties throwing mid 90's but bc overcame and played to their potential. carthage is sitting on cloud nine and cruising through the playoffs, but bc cant get caught up in all the hype. a lot of people will see this as david vs. goliath, but i like to see it as two powerhouses. carthage carthage carthage carthage carthage carthage...we can say it all we want to now, we got the chance we wanted now its here....time to go to work, i'll take our pitchers and defense against anyone

someone mentioned that the district mvp should come from the district champs...ala taylor hart or travis raegan

the district mvp doesnt have to come from the champs, the nfl mvp doesnt have to go to someone w/ the best record as for pitcher of the year im a homer and gotta go w/ stringer, hes appeared in three games in the playoffs and has 33k's and over 120 for the season, and he'll only add to that come needville as far as district mvp, again im a homer, dishon led the district in hr's/rbi/stolen bases...and he made some amazing grabs. to me here's how you determine district mvp...if you ask every coach if they could have someone to start a team w/ who would they choose first...the player they probably would say is MOST VALUABLE is probably dishon, you can make the argument for pitching first though...mho

a third of the teams in 3a are in region III our region is always the toughest

exactly...if they werent any good and just "didnt compete" they wouldnt be in there. everyone that was mentioned put the ball in play...last i checked the ball wasnt on a tee either...wharton was pretty good and who in the world is "estrada" ???

taylor won the toss and chose a one gamer and i read they have a pretty good pitcher that averages 10 k's a game yoe commited 5 errors and gave up 6 or 7 unearned runs. so the one game toss yoe won did not work out for them. they have two or three guys that can hit like crazy and i'll be willing to bet the rest arent slouches. and david rollins is the region era leader w/ a .6 era, i'll be willing to bet he throws upper 80's or low 90's, he had four complete games in district i think..does anyone else have some sort of scouting report on them? other key pitchers etc.

today being mothers day kinda got in the way of plan making...

we wont look past anyone...this time of the year is so fun we're soaking it in and playing games one at a time. and you cant take any lead for granted you have to work hard for every out..ask hj. that said lets get to this game. whether or not they hit the fastball well, i dont think they'll be able to hit stringer with consistency, lefties throwing upper 80's with good off speed pitches isnt a type of guy thats in every district. and in this last series we've showed signs of improvement defensively and offensively against a worthy opponent. and if it seems like im chalking up an easy win here im not, needville has to be good or they wouldnt be here and lets keep in mind they beat a district champion of their own in tarkington by the way where is needville?

matt hicks is the man...the fesh did an awesome job today..he plays like a senior. bc wanted it more and it was obvious, tigerpride08 said they wanted it more...but when they were hitting you could hear a pin drop....when bc was hitting everyone in the dugout was rooting for the guy hitting.

doesnt matter...we're both in the playoffs and doing well...if we meet in a 2 of 3 in the regional finals..it might be different...but right now its one step at a time

they are good...but sometimes teams like that look right over someone..and get surprised
