i think we won the toss on the site because we told coach thats where we prefered...i dont think a toss was needed for the series...both teams want 2-3 we cannot get big headed after splendora, 17k's is nice but the quality of hitters is about to go way up. if we want to win this week we better practice some lights out defense mon tues and wed, and thurs fri keep the error column stuck on 0. i think wharton has a supreme advantage because their coaches have seen us play the last two games we've played, and bc is going all on hearsay. bc has to play to their strengths and worry about our brand of baseball and not react to theirs

thats right...wharton is a very worthy opponent. we will probably play somewhere like deer park or baytown lee... keep the errors at zero and we can hang with anyone

i cant think of anywhere nice enough that is available...lamar and nederland are either booked or wet, and so is barbers hill...is there anywhere closer to houston that is a possibility? coop whats the latest?

great game by both teams, felt like a playoff game an hour before the game errors cost us, no one can disagree, we as a team/unit need to get better good news is we put up 8 against a pretty solid ball club, bad news is that we let them score 10 the way they did. i hope we meet again

great fans support their own players, not degrade the opposing team and not really say anything to encourage their own...

its gonna come down to errors, how well bc defends the bunts, and not leaving runners on base, meeks is good enough to hold is own on producing weak groundballs and lazy fly outs, very rarely does he ever go out on the mound and get absolutely ripped. cannot wait

hey red 1 hj is the hawks not the horns lol the issue on the h-j student fans came up after the first game, and they werent talking as much trash as last time only because everyone could probably hear what they were saying...they probably wouldnt want parents or coaches to hear what all they were saying in hj. in both games though i only heard them bad mouthing us but not really encouraging their own team....

treece showed why hes well known, any guy in hs that can throw a first pitch curveball for a strike consistantly is pretty good. he just made the mistake of starting dishon off w/ one all night and he sat on the last one. good game hj. key plays tonight by our freshman 3rd baseman, he had two hits and made some good stops. stringer had a good outing. and how about that WEB GEM in center by dishon, no question whos the best centerfielder in setx! quote of the night: H-J coach- "when we get back to hj i'll mail that ball back to you guys"

gabe sure did see more smiles than i see on the baseball field ;D troy is the MOST competitive person (other than his dad) that i know, hes all business when theres an opponent on the field i dont even like to play him in ping pong or washers great leader for the team

i named the starters from all the games in the playoffs...not the relievers but yes meeks did have a lot to do w/ that staff. unless he started a game in the playoffs that im forgetting.. but i KNOW he will play a huge role this season, and already has

are you kidding me? critter is exactly right, when you get talking about district champions and playoffs its all about pitching. im not saying bc couldnt miss the playoffs because it could certainly happen but w/ three quality starters you have to like our chances over atleast two of those teams if any of those teams get caught in a 3 game set they probably stand a chance in the first game, but after your ace throws 7 innings and the other guys are average at best, you cant count on that one guy to throw the second of a double header on 1 days rest. look at it like this: when you face silsbee the question is "is schooling pitching" and for hj "is treece picthing" and for jasper "is hart pitching" (i think thats their hard throwing righty??) but when people play bc the question is "who are they throwing?" because in my opinion..we have three guys that could be the ace of any staff in the district, you cant get lucky and miss a quality starter 2005 : angelle, stevens, vincent 2006: angelle, haymon, stringer.....(state tournament teams can pitch!!)
