i guess since hicks is the only good pitcher we have, needville just decided to let jason clark have the victory deep in the playoffs. you keep thinkin that dirty blood. our "average" pitchers are the kind of pitchers that keep you from beating us every year and the same type of pitchers that bounce you in the early rounds of the playoffs

in no order... jasper bc hj silsbee hf/of....those are the teams going in that have a legit shot at making it in..no disrespect wos or kville... i dont think anyone can predict what will happen as far as saying three teams and thats it. i think its between those 6, hopefully bc is one of the three and jasper isnt lol

im a little confused as well...no one has said anything on the lines of bashing except the second post...and that was a joke...

not callin you out dog lol just saying that i think the bashing could be a lot worse than it is on the website and that i cant imagine this being too harsh for someone to read as opposed to reading a much more critical article or something about president bush, and that the moderators do a good job of cleaning up what shouldnt be said but when the games start being played and the season gets underway, this kind of talk will probably stop and it will be more focus on how the team is doing

it took one reply for this thread to go back to the subject of the other one... and no one especially the kid, is being "continually" bashed....whats the worst someone has said about him? "he might not be good enough and if hes not then no big deal hes only a freshman"...thats it and if thats the worst that is being said and your version of "continual bashing" then you need to find another, more comfortable fluffy forum to frequent. and the mods do a great job of editing posts, i should know, they change mine all the time ;D (Edited just to make you HAPPY - by 3ABirdMan) and as for the call for positive feedback...its only february, the positive feedback and focus on the team will start when they start playing and winning games, untill then, speculation is what you should expect

thats probably because hes a freshman genius...he wouldnt be returning if this is his first year in hs now would he? and the field is embarassing....but the guys that laid the new sod last year messed it up right before the season and then it got hot and baked all the mud and new grass couldnt grow through that hard pan....but its been adressed and is supposed to be fixed...but its ashame that a program w/ so much talent and ability has to play...on that

kids should play as many sports as they want and are good at, no substitute for those memories once you graduate. and in the case of baseball/basketball basketball...especially in bc doesnt ever run into district which is the season that counts, therefore early on if you have kids in basketball you get a better opportunity to evaluate talent in the nondistrict and scrimmage schedule, before basketball is over

pitching will be 1. hicks 2. jason clark, after that you've got dillon who has a good arm and breaux who also can throw hard, and then cessac and snyder and maybe hubbard. after 1 and 2 i think they are all even, because they have decent arm strength but lack in pitch diversity and really need to develop some movement. cessac has ok stuff and snyder has a 12-6 curveball. people think we lost a lot, not really as far as pitching DEPTH goes, we only lack in experience, stringer and meeks were awesome to have as leaders on the mound. bc will be fine. they just need to play a lot of people early, and coach bryant with laird and moore are always rotating guys and looking for new talent early in a season

the guys pitching to him are jrs and srs...by the time hicks is an upper classmen there will be newer guys pitching to him and there probably isnt one person in the area that will face him enough times in their varsity career that will learn how to pitch to him. just as pitchers get better, so does matt hicks at hitting them

w/ out question the correct answere is matt hicks, if you've seen him play its hard to disagree, can hit for avg and power, near flawless mechanics in the field and has a gun to go w/ it, and on the mound he is flat out awesome and fields the position better than most. the only thing he really lacks is speed, but all the guys in his grade have told me that before his accident he was the fastest in the grade...people forget that he had a life threatening accident when he was 12 and lives with the effects every day. and the comparisons between dishon and hicks are hard to agree on because they have different styles, you'd never see matt hicks in center , and you'd never see dishon in the middle infield. but offensively at the same age now dishon hit more for power and stole more bases (more than anyone in the area) but hicks seems to hit more for avg.

but he could get an insurance policy and return for his senior year...improve his skills maybe win the heisman and make some major money as a top pick

he needs to stay in college get stronger to run inside....and get tim mcgraw to tape the football to his body (friday night lights reference) before going pro.....after that i think he can be an early 1st round pick and get more money....besides i think he'll be a heisman frontrunner coming into next year

coach moore is a beast at first base...

how do you know jasper and bc are already in?...last year silsbee me their seasons goal and beat us to stop the streak seemed to be waltzing in the playoffs and then they suddenly fell apart. bc thought we had it easy but we had to overcome two district losses and near disaster during spring break at orangefield and came back down 7 in the 7th.....i'd say it comes down to these teams....bc jasper hj hf silsbee of...no disrespect to wos and kville

i can think of something that helped him "play so long" lol and its not available at gnc

special teams makes a big difference when you have two evenly matched teams
