Hopefully they play as well as they did against Sislbee in OF.  They were only down 15 with 2 min. to go in game.

The only thing that gets hyped up on this board is HJ vs. Silsbee or Nederland vs. Central/Ozen.  Look at all the other links.  There isn't going to be any hype for this game on here.  No biggie on that, but it should come as no surprise to anyone.  Hopefully the hawks overlook the Bobcats, like the Longhorns did on Tuesday.  Doubtful, but one can always hope.

The winner of 21-3A will probably play Yates (winner of 23-3A) in the Regional Quarterfinals.  That is if both of them win the 2nd round game.

"3A numbers:  450-1004 pitiful!  makes a lot of sense....3A always gets screwed in realignment numbers" In my opinion, they need to do something about this.  Schools such as Buna, OF, HF in the same classification as schools with more than 1000 students.  I realize they may never play any of these schools.  Maybe an option would be to add a 6A division.  Maybe this could bring up some larger 2A with smaller 3A. 

Congrats to all Bobcat teams as they got a sweep last night.  Every team played hard, which makes those of us sitting in the stands proud to support them.  Not sure what you are shouldering the blame for dawg13.  Is it because as a parent you didn't teach your kid how to act in adverse situation?  Not sure why people think that HF is so much better than OF.  They have played 5 times, I think.  OF won 2 and HF won 3 (3 of the 5 games were within 10 points).  Maybe you should either raise your expectations of OF or lower them for HF.

So do you think they played the best they could.  Dawg13 doesn't.  What is your observation.

Is there till an outside shot at the playoffs for the bobcats?

WOS killed the bobcats on the glass.  Wouldn't surprise me if they had more offensive rebounds than the bobcats had total rebounds. 

Thank you for that.  As a parent, that is what is important.  Lets face it, not many players from anywhere go to play college ball, so they have to get more than just basketball or whatever sport out of athletics.  They have to learn how to battle through adversity because there will always be tough times in life and you can't give up.  It is hard for a kid to understand that, but it is so important.

I guess you are right.  They could have quit and got beat by 60, but they didn't.  Not everyone is in the best situation and as gifted athletically and basketball wise.  How does a kid respond in a tough situation says a lot about them.  Don't belittle them for trying til the end even though they were losing.

I guess the reserves didn't get as much time as they thought considering that only six players scored for Silsbee.  I thought the Bobcats fought hard and never quit.  Silsbee is very quick and athletic and shot the ball better from 3 land than they had been.  Good luck to them in the playoffs.

dawg13 sounds like a player trying to vent.  Maybe one who got to play more the last two years than this year.  Didn't know if the 13 meant anything.

Why is Catman picking BS to win?  I thought he was a BS supporter.  Anyway, there is no way that SP can hang with them.  Big Sandy's man defense will give Sabine Pass all kinds of problems.  SP doesn't have size and the ball pressure will give their ball handlers problems.  BS by 30.

Why no freshman game?

Big Sandy will win that 1A district.  They play good man defense that will give Evadale trouble.

The Bobcats beat the Longhorns by 15 in the Evadale Tournament.  The Longhorns beat the Bobcats by 5 in the Orangefield Tournament.  None of this really matters.  What matters is who wins in January and February.  Looks to me like there might be a fight for 3rd.  Don't see how you can throw HF name in there without the Bobcats.

The instance that Wildcatter is referring too happened during the Orangefield Tournament.  The new, new coach went to take the big boy out and he yelled "NO" at the coach.  He was back in the game in about 30 seconds.  It appears as though the discipline that the new coach has is just a different approach than the old, new coach.  Only time will tell as to how the players respond to it.  Do they try and run the show?  We will see.

I guess the same could be said about HF then.  They did lose to the Bobcats by 15 and then only beat them by 5.

Orangefield was losing 35-28 at the half.  Exploded in the 3rd quarter.

Orange Leader has final at 53-48.  I think what Wildcatter is talking about is that they need to move the date of the tournament so maybe they can draw more teams.  With the Nederland and HJ tournament going on the same weekend, the quality of teams has dropped dramatically.  Just 4 years ago, they had teams such as Nederland, PNG, Silsbee, LC-M.  Those teams are playing elsewhere now.  Coaches need to take a look at it.

Smith played for Orangefield.  He died in a car accident in the past few months.  It was a great gesture by the Nederland program.

No, HJ tournament is next week.  EC is in the Orangefield Tournament this year instead.

So much for you presuming.  Never underestimate the heart of a Bobcat.

Since neither of these teams runs man defense, nobody has to match up with Prudhome.  Should be a fast paced game.  Both teams pressing and pushing the ball.  Will probably come down to taking care of the ball and rebounding.  Whoever wins those battles will win the game.

I think the difference is he moved to Nederland.  I don't think he drives from Vegas everyday.
