I believe the key is for Silsbee to get a lead early. Once that happens, WOS will self implode. #15 will start to act out and walk back on defense. Silsbee just can't let them hang around.

I think most coaches are animated to a certain extent, but Coach Mitchell takes it to a new level. I do agree that how a coach acts has an impact on his players. -
Yes, they all graduated. There won't be many calls for either team tonight. They really let them play over there. BC will get beat by as much as Silsbee wants, but I will say 106-36.

Hamshire-Fannett 69 Liberty 46/FINAL

Ardoin had a great game with 32 and 16 rebounds. This should happen against Liberty who has no answer for him. Let’s see how everyone responds when they play Livingston and Huffman before we say the lesson was learned. -

Silsbee 92 Orangefield 47/FINAL
catfever replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Hopefully the other players can continue to step up. They played well as a team the first half of district and can hopefully carry that over the 2nd half. -
Will found out districts for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years next week.

I agree that Silsbee is head and shoulders better than everyone else. WOS has the best chance at getting a win vs them but they will play at Silsbee so I don’t see that happening. it will be a dog fight for 2-4. LCM and OF both have to play at WOS so that is an advantage. LCM also has to play at OF. We will see if Lumberton can upset any of the top 4 to get into the mix. Also, can BC or Vidor possibly spoil someone’s playoff spots. I don’t think LCM beat WOS when the big kid was playing. I also think that Lumberton was missing some of their better guys and their coach when LCM played them. 6 games for everyone to go. Let’s see who can put together some kind of a streak.

Closing of the schools probably has to do with staffing shortages in multiple areas of the district due to employees being sick and not enough people to fill in.
-
Pretty sure he is from Warren since there is a W in his profile pic
-
Depending on what the alignment ends up being, this could be an even more competitive district next year.
-
Orangefield will also be moving into this district next year and they start 1 senior, 3 juniors, and 1 soph

Splendora 47 Livingston 55/FINAL

This game was a lot closer than I would have thought. Livingston beats Hamshire-Fannett and Huffman and then barely beats Shepherd and Splendora. -

Ragusa has not been playing. Also Dischler got hurt in the 1st quarter of the west orange game and didn’t play against LCM. -

I wouldn’t say they are going the wrong direction just because they lose to OF. OF is 19-8. LCM does play silsbee on Tuesday. -

Silsbee 61 West Orange-Stark 58/FINAL

I don’t how you could ever get in a fight at a silsbee game. There are about 12 officers at the games. -
This prediction sounds pretty accurate. I do think the big guy inside might give Silsbee some problems, but he can also lose his cool pretty quick and quit playing.
-
He was back for the Orangefield game and he did make a difference. I believe the Orange Leader said that he had 9 points and 13 boards. He is about 6'5" and has some hops.

IDK. West Orange likes to play fast.
