Nixes 2.1% across the board pay as hundreds of thousands of federal employees begin new year furloughed are working without pay. President said the federal budget couldn't support it. The President asked for 5 billion for a wall yet he continues to insult Federal Employees. He falsely claimed our military received or would receive 10% raise. This is all smoke and mirrors and both parties should be sick to there stomach of what has been spewing out of his gut. The taxes are suppose to allow middle class to see a bump in pay. This has not happened. If it has happened for any of you please explain. I really would like to know what is on his taxes and why Russia is calling the shots. This can't be disputed because Putin has high fived the Saudi Prince and gave a standing ovation to the U.S. for pulling out of Syria. In Venezuela a country in turmoil Putin has landed 2 nuclear bombers there and no one knows why. Take the blinders off. The biggest threat to America is not the wall it's Putin and his One World order. Yet we degrade one another over a wall when the biggest threat is laughing at us. Bring on Pence for President and Rubio for VP.

Please don't take this personal. I'm just venting. Things are getting tight and the Holidays and gifts took a bite out of my reserves. Christmas time I went all out for my kids. Maxed out a few cards in the process. Anyway life goes on. I will not be taken any gifts back. I am thankful all other agency's are not effected.

Trump was the best choice out of what we had to choose from. People forget how Mr. Sanders was cheated by the DNC and Hillary. I would have voted for Sanders. He wasn't in the mix so I took the less of two....

He is the President of all Americans not just Republicans. He represents all of us.

I was given a letter from Human Resources to provide to my creditors explaining my inability to pay. My Mortgage company is Ditech. They would not honor the letter and stated that penalties and late fees will still apply. I also went to the tax office to pay taxes on my vehicles totaling $300.00 for two cars. Provided them with the letter and they would not honor it. I wrote a check anyway and explained to them that when I checked my account today I had not received a check and probably will not until the President lifts the shut down. Add injury to insult, the President tweets that most furloughed workers are Democrats. He also claimed that furloughed workers were fine not getting paid during the shut down. I voted for this guy. I don't believe he is Democratic or Republican. He has done good in some areas and in others not so well ( dividing the country) STOP the tweeting. It helps no one but continues to divide. I may get backlash but I hope there is a strong and true Republican candidate that runs for office with true Christian values and sticks to principles.

I really don't care about a wall. If it gets built I will support it. If it doesn't i will support it. What ever the directives are it is my responsibility to follow. Whether I agree or not it is what is. I have instructions to report to work whether I agree or not.

I believed President Trump when he said it. You can't believe I made this stuff up? He said it was going to be the most beautiful wall we have ever seen. If I perceived it the wrong way than o.k. I am not the only one. Why won't Mexico pay for the wall?

On the Campaign promise, I believe if he would have initially stated NAFTA instead of Mexico would pay for the wall we would be further along. People really wanted to believe Mexico was paying for a wall. Second worse news of my day is my TSP retirement is in the tank. Dow suffers record breaking Christmas losses. We are headed for a downward spiral. Way to end the year on a high note.

I agree, however NAFTA will not be enough to fund a wall. The President does have options that do not need Congressional approval. This would put an end to the dispute over what he said or didn't say. We are no longer in Syria and we will be pulling out of Afghanistan. Border Security is a must in these trying days. Immigration has to be addressed now more than ever. We will never forget 9-11.

Their are much better ways to settle a dispute.

I'm only asking to receive what is rightfully mine. They are much better ways to settle disputes. Blue collar workers are tired of being punching bags.

The Government continues to shrink. Justifiable so in certain areas an not so justified in others ie. Federal Prison, Border Agents. Your brother is a good man and I thank him for his service.

People are furloughed, laid off or work 40 hrs a week but don't have a clue of when they will be able to pay bills. Debt collectors don't care about Government shut downs. They still add late fees. When you do receive your pay their is no incentive or bonus or penalty added to your pay for receiving it late. People working in the Chemical plants work hard and long. Ask them how their families would feel and react if they were to be told you will receive your check when we decide.

Thank you to my Federal workers (brothers and sisters) in Southeast Texas and abroad who families have been effected by the shut down. All vacation has been cancelled. Tickets that were purchased and reservations that were made are all gone now. As we strap up our boots and put on our duty belt. Today as others rightfully enjoy Christmas with families and friends. Thank you for sacrificing, family, friends, and health in order to serve. You were called to this profession, much like a preacher, teacher , or a doctor are called to theirs. You are warriors with a servants heart. The consequences of putting on the uniform are reflected in who you are, no matter how many days you go without knowing not if you will get paid but when. If you have been tagged to this by someone you know, it is because they are proud to know you. We are humbly grateful for the freedoms you defend. You have stepped up to the plate when the White House, Senate and Congress didn't. Being in Federal Law enforcement changed me. Training, sacrifice, love and duty are the heart of every hero. Thank you to the Mothers who raised their right hand and swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States. You are out daughters, sisters and mothers. Be proud of who you are and continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with our male Federal workers. Thank you to Federal workers who don't think they deserve our gratitude. You don't need to have stood on the front line to earn our grateful appreciation. It takes many different talents to secure and defend our great nation. Some would not accept the job you took. You did not shy away; shouldering the responsibilities that we did not. This is worth a multitude of thanks.

The kind of investment that big money funds desperately desire. About $50-100 billion worth currently held by USDA are very marketable and attractive commercial paper investments. The sales would give a profit cushion to the government and alleviate taxpayers from any future risk of nonpayment while reading certain borrower guarantees. Trump could authorize the sale of $10 billion of USDA rural water loans in secondary market, which could bring in a lump sum payment of $12billion or more. Revenue from these proceed could be directed to boarder security. Can I have my pay check now?
