Both sides are often (always?) willing to compromise their moral high ground for gain. Both sides believe they are in the right and the opposition is in the wrong. But both sides will gladly behave in immoral ways to win. Whether it's religion, politics, revenge or plain greed - there will always be a reason to disagree. To disagree is actually very popular and I mean no joke there. It actually works. Oh, Politicians fail all the time, but that too means that neither side got what their self interest wanted. Everyone tries to impose their vision of the world on everyone else. Violent or means of coercion are as popular internationally as they are here on the East Coast. Consider it this way. Both the community that wants the halfway house and the neighborhood that doesn't want it where they live have the moral ground. Someone will win. I know where I stand on the issue but that doesn't mean either side would back down - even if they understood the other side believed just as strongly as they did.

People who stir hatred on social media platforms don’t seem to want to be conforted. They want to spew hate. They want hatred to be validated by likes or retweet’s. They want to stir up the fire but don’t want to put the fire out. Viewing the hatred that surrounds this political form, I decided to try to make a conscientious effort to turn potential negatives into positive. Social media,can be an action amplifier. It can be the spark that lights a fire of positive change instead of negativity that creates a lot of choke-inducing smoke.

Why does this board continue to bait people in on race? There are people on here who feed off of it. This is a political forum not a forum ment to device people. Southeast Texas has some of the best friendly and caring people I know. It was displayed when I visited Groves, Texas and had to be rescued by boat doing Harvey.

Rapist, murders, and violent crime come from all walks of life not solely on one group. I can speak of it because I face it on a daily bases. I wish it was that easy to narrow it down to a group or organization. Evil exist and has no respect of a person.
