It is the law. I have two years before I am pushed out. Why is it good for some but not all? I believe it should be across the board.

My job has already started eliminating positions through attrition. When a person retires or is promoted the vacant position is not filled. 2000 positions have been removed as of today. I believe the Bureau of Prisons has eliminated 6000 positions bureau wide.

Those who are Republicans and have a non essential government jobs should volunteerly resign and save the taxpayers money. Why would that be a good start? I don’t agree. I feel as long as a person is paying his share of taxes and not living off of the government then let them work. The government struggled when 1/4 of the government shutdown. Regan, I get your point but jobs in the real world are not guaranteed. Unemployment would go up in my opinion. I believe the government could do away with positions through attrition. The economy would take a hit if the positions were eliminated all at once. You are right, we have to find a starting point. We wasted over 5 billion in tax payers money in 35 days.

After the shutdown, the $10,000 pay increase went into effect when the Government opened up. Whitehouse staff received the nice bonus.

If we can pay McDonald's employees $15.00 why can't we provide locality and cost of living to civil service employees? I'm bias so I understand if people disagree.

They want us to believe that this is acceptable. The parents of this 11 yr old are unfit. Explain to me again why we can’t pray in schools or at town hall meetings.

I am against a child being put to death. A 12 year old conducts a mass shooting at his junior highschool should be tried as a adult.

I believe the child and the parent of that child is ultimately responsible. You can’t bring that life back. Some cases a 12 year old could and should be tried as a adult.

Individuals as young as 14 years are able to consent to have intercourse with a partner who is 18 yrs or younger. My heart aches for our young people. Be glad you don’t have Senators like Lyndsey and Scott.

The legal age in South Carolina is 16. Before that it was 15. My daughter ran away at 16 and the law told me I could not make her come home. However if she broke any laws I was liable. The man she ran away with was 21. I could not press charges because she was the age of consent.

In my profession, I have to address transgender by what they identify themselves as. I can be reprimanded if I address them as Sir or Mr. I have been told by Federal prison guards that these convicts are locked up in a male prison, but are allowed to purchase female products. They are allowed to purchase and wear makeup and female under clothing. Hook’em, your fears have come true. Take a stroll down the local mall and you will bear witness to the disease that has spread among our girls and boys. Parents filing suits against school districts because there 6 year old son is not allowed to wear a dress. The courts have even favored the student in some cases. The world we live in lacks morality and common sense. Politicians will and have sole their sole for your vote. A Highschool student in my state filed a law suit because he was not allowed to use the girls restroom. When you think you have heard and seen it all, just keep living, it gets worse.

How many mass shootings in schools, clubs, movie theater, and concerts has Canada had by mental health perps compared to the U.S.? No one seems to acknowledge that the U.S. does not address mental health. The mass killings in the U.S. was not because we have great health plans. The killings were done by individuals who had mental health issues. Sandy Hooks, Vegas, Texas, Florida, LasVegas,South Carolina, and Colorado were all senseless killings carried out by sick mentally ill people. The U.S. medical plan is not as great as you think it is. Full of lies and false hopes. I have been told at one point in time that if I like my plan or Doctor I can keep it. Pre-existing conditions are still being debated today. I can't even help the ones I pick up off the streets. Hospitals hold them for 24hr. and then they are released. This is not about being Democratic or Republican. We would be pointing fingers all day. I don't feel safe in malls, theaters or any area I consider a soft target. Home grown terrorist are in our back yards. They are being released from prisons without any form of medication or treatment plan.
