My comment was not to address illegals. Mental health was my point. Canada healthcare is free and it covers almost everything other than prescription drugs, glasses, and dental. Basically works like Medicare. Canada provides near universal coverage to all Canadians.

You explained about the mental health and treatment facilities. I just don’t know how we get around it. Parents have to be responsible and lock the weapons away. A felon received 15 years for having three bullets in his pocket with no gun. He received 5 years for each bullet. I told him he was lucky he didn’t have the clip. The US courts are doing their part. We take guns off the street, but for the most part the guns are stolen.

Good question. My concerns are that we throw a person with mental problems in prison for 5 to 10 years. He is released after spending 23hrs a day in a cell with one hour of recreation. Then he is released out into society. I have dropped off many mental ill patients to the hospital only to see them released the next day because the hospital is not equipped and there is not a mental facility in the city or surrounding area.

My opinion is that he has received bad advice from others in his corner who have their own interior motive and not Trumps best interest. Shawn Hannity, John Lemon and the rest of the News anchors that want to Monday morning quarterback need to step away from the mike. Stop listening to radio activist and listen to the advisers he has appointed to the position. Trump does have the ability to negotiate. The prison reform bill was, and is a great accomplishment.

LumRaider Fan, I personally know a Officer who contemplated taken his life. Officers were sleeping in their vehicles because they didn't have money to drive back and forth from home and work. The (some) news outlets will not share the stories of those who have suffered medical conditions because they could not afford medication or suicide attempts. Many that I have come in contact with are Veterans. Some are mentally ill and no one wants to address It. Homelessness is not a choice. Brave men and women have returned from war and suffer from PTSD. I can only speak of what I see in the field. I guess it depends on what city or state you live in.
