La Porte Bulldogs 2010 Anthony Webb--RB had over 200 against PAM in the playoffs. Ran for 1600, not bad considering they had two with over 1600. Jeremy McNeal--First Team safety; will probably be the QB Chad Sutherland--First Team LB as a sophomore Karl Terrebonne--First Team wide receiver Jemarcus Erskin, John Wesby, Ben Flores -

Donald Douglas should be pissed off. How do you think Chad Taylor felt? He is 36 years old and had been coaching for 12 years. He coached on a 14-1 football team, coached on a state championship baseball team, state qualifiers in track and powerlifting, just to name a few. Douglas and Taylor should be very pissed off that they didn't get that opportunity to come back and coach their beloved Panthers. At least Douglas got a call back. Who the hell is Shane Deel and what does he know about Liberty Panther football? What a joke! By the way, Pflugerville got their butt kicked against Katy. -

If they give that job to Sadler, then this school board is stupid. Nothing against Sadler, but to go through all this BS and then hire someone from inside. You talk about wasting a lot of peoples time. I can see it happening. Who pulled their name out? -

Since my man Coach Taylor is no longer in the running, I really don't care who gets this job. I know Donald Douglas is still in the hunt, thanks to Dr. Griffin, Huckabay, and from what I have heard the other two didn't even get a interview the first go round. That is why they have kept everything so quite. They didn't want people to know who interviewed or who didn't so that when this type of situation occurs they don't look so bad. However, one has already turned it down and that got out. The coach from Kountze didn't get an interview the first time, now he will be interviewing on Tuesday or Wednesday from what I have heard. Believe me, I know all of this is speculation and everybody on here could be completely wrong, including myself. But after a month, who really cares. -

Run its course, damn, they knew since last year that Stewart was not coming back after this season. The season was over in November, they didn't post it until December, and accepted applications until the end of January. February has come and gone. Here it is, the first of March and still know athletic director/head football coach. I did here a while back that the Supt. wanted to put together a committee to hire the AD/HF. The board voted against that and said they wanted to hire the AD/HF. So I think what ever happens, good or bad, it's on that board. -

Has anybody heard anything about anything? Somebody has got to know somebody that knows somebody. Filling this position has taken longer than any other job I have ever seen. The job came open before christimas and March is right around the corner. I know that the board wants to get this right, but this is rediculous. They have had 4 weeks to review, interview and hire and we still do not have a new coach. What is the word around town? -

If I might add, he also said that if he wasn't going to get it, then Douglas should. He did say that he felt very qualified and from talking with a school board member before christmas that he had a very good chance at getting that job. But as long as there were 2 hometown boys fighting for the same position, somebody was going to be left out. He just happened to be the one left out. He finished by saying he was just glad his mother doesn't have to sit around and here how bad of a coach he is, which probably have happened being from Liberty. He said that jokingly! You talk about a classy individual. -

I just got off the phone with Coach Taylor at Jacksonville and you guys want have to worry about him getting the job. He said that he received a call from the Supt. early this morning and was told that he didn't get a second interview. He wasn't upset at all. Don't get me wrong, he would have like to been the next head coach, but he wasn't excited about how there whole hiring process went. He did say before he hung up, once a panther always a panther, regardless to who is on the school board. -

I heard that Douglas has been offered that job, any truth to this? I hear that he is always in Liberty now and around that fieldhouse. I know both Douglas and Chad Taylor and I find it hard to know that Douglas would get it over Chad. Nothing against Douglas, but he has only been coaching for about 5 years and has never been a coordinator. Both guys are quality individuals, but I don't see either one getting it because the board will have a hard time choosing between the two, therefore they will probably cancel each other out and someone else will get it. That is ashame! Knowing that they have already offered it to another coach, who would want it. -

I heard that Liberty had offered it to a coach from Lexington, but he turned them down. Is there any truth to this? If so, I would expect more than just Nations to start pulling there name out. -

Leave it to Liberty to screw this up. They received over 70 applicants, narrowed it down to 8 and brought those individuals in for an interview. You mean to tell me you can't decide on one of those 8. Surely at least one stood out. I have never seen a process take this long. I know if I was one of those 8, I might start thinking this is not actually a good situation. Does anybody have any names other than supposedly Douglas from Westbrook, Taylor from Jacksonville and Nations from Dayton. -

From what I heard, Douglas is only the QB coach. Has Douglas ever been a coordinator? I don't know what kind of coach he is, but he was one of the best athletes I have ever seen. As for the other hometown boy, I know he is currently the defensive coordinator at Jacksonville. I also think was an offensive coordinator earlier in his career. All I know is Liberty is dragging there feet on this one. -

Who is the home town boy that is the DC from Jacksonville? Did he interview yet? Sahen, could be right because I have never sign a interview process go this long without some names popping up. Is Nations from Dayton really interested in this job, they should be even better next year. Somebody out there knows something, spit it out!
