1.
Well for what we got to do we did pretty good,  we played a 9th grade select team and got beat bad 36 to 0 which I expected, then we played a select 8th grade team with a few 9th graders and beat them 43 to 0. Not to bad for a team of 3 6th graders 10 7th graders and 2 8th graders.  We haven't found any other tournaments to play in so we are looking for a game.  Maybe ya'll would like to play a game.  I mean 12 years old is 12 years old right.  I only have a couple of kids that are 13 by the as of date.  Any way would be a good game don't you think.  Thanks for asking about the team, it we play any more games I keep ya'll posted.
Not bad, sounds like ya'll held your own, good luck the rest of the year.
2.
How many games did your 7th grade win this year, not many from what I understand, and the teams that your 7th graders dominated in the little league owned you in the real 7th grade.  It is not hard to coach when you have an age advantage over everyone you play.  My reputation can take whatever you think you can dish out, I am not worried about looking bad.  But I can tell you I would not be bragging about barely beating a 5th and 6th grade team with my 7th grade little league team, that looks bad.
No one's bragging, just stating facts, the only game the 7th Grade was blown out in this year was against EC, the other games were very close, and your rep doesn't need my help, by the way, how did your select team do?
3.
I know you really don't  think that your 7th, 8th or whatever grade you would like to talk about team could get on a field and compete with WOS, BC, LCM, Lumberton, Nederland, PN-G etc.  If you do believe that you need to wake up and smell the coffee.  As far as the allstars go your guys played a great game.  That is just one year, to say that there is no comparison is just a stupid statement.  Your right you do have some good coaches as I stated in my first post, both teams were well coached.  But the fact remains any little league team using 7th graders has great advantage over teams with only 5th and 6th graders.  That is a fact you cannot ignore.  Or I guess you can if your on the team with 7th graders.
Deweyville is a small 2a, they will play anyone, including your 3a/4a 7th and 8th Grade Teams and compete, that's the only advantage you'd have is numbers, and LJFL has owned STJFL for 2 consecutive years, including the team you Coached, so keep talking, cause the proof is already out there. Your just making yourself look bad.
4. Does anyone have a bracket for the tournament or what schools will be playing in the tournament?
5. We were one of the founding members of STJFL years ago and played/Coached in that league for 3 years before forming LJFL. There's no comparison when it comes to competition top to bottom, in 2006 we won the Allstar challenge in Little Cypress with a LJFL Senior Team with NO 7th Graders on it against the best STJFL had to play against us. It comes down to Coaching and working with the talent your given. Deweyville has 12 - 13 kids on their Senior Team year in and year out and still we are always in the hunt for a championship due to Coaching. And we do know what the outcome would be in 7th and 8th Grade games, the same as it always is, a loss for you.
6. We need you and WarFan to come out of retirement and start calling again.
7. 12 yrs old in the 6th Grade and 12 yrs old in the 7th Grade is STILL 12 yrs old.............. You can't get it..
8. ridiculous statement. The game was in EC, however, I do not want to take anything away from EC's victory, they won, congrats, but the officiating was horriable. WarFan hit it on the head, in his prior post, it's to the point of ruining the game.
9. Obviously if you were a former official and you seen this group of officials do their work then you to would have been embarrassed, witness the action before blindly defending the actions.
10. Gonna get ugly real quick, Kountze by as many as the Coach wants.
11. And more tired and beat up toward the end of the year as my son was this year, very tough double-up for a 7th grader to do both 7th and youth football along with academics.
12. I have alot of respect for EC and their program, very good, well Coached Basketball Team from EC that I seen tonight, congrats on the win, and good luck the rest of the year and in the playoffs. To touch on a point made in the previous post about the officiating.......... In S.E. Texas you get what show's up and normally when it's bad officiating, it's bad for both Teams, and by the end of the game it's pretty close overall for both teams in fouls, that was not the case last night. 29 - 10 is a head scratcher, and with approx. 2:45 left in the 4th qtr it was 10 - 1 fouls against Deweyville Vs. EC. These kids, Coaches and Fans deserve better, when the officials inject themselves into the game and affect it's outcome with their calling instead of letting the Teams play and decide the outcome then they have done a dis-service to the game. 4 out of 5 starters foul out for one team when the other team has no one foul out.........These two teams for 3 plus quarters put on a display that's hard to equal in high school basketball, great atmosphere with both stands packed, great display of team work from both teams, it's a shame the officiating was as bad as it was, BOTH teams deserved better.
13. Why would you have a problem with that comment? These kids have known each other from baseball, basketball and football for years, and from playing with and against each other in these sports, holding kids back for whatever reason is a common occurance, it's done quite regularly.
14. Which comment are you refering too?
15. You have got to be kidding, the officiating was horrible, for both teams. And yes, Kountze is the real deal, every bit as good as advertised.
16. Congrats Hornets, tough place to pull out a victory.
17. Very good competitive High School Basketball Game between two good Teams, Congrats to Kountze, they showed the drive to overcome the Halftime deficet and claim the victory, it got out of hand late in the 4th due to some questionable calls by some very bad officials, who were bad for both sides.
18. Good observation, I think it will be close with EC pulling out the victory at home.
19. It's past your bedtime child, go to bed.
20. What does that have to do with Basketball? Are you the same person that said Newton was going to beat Tatum? Silly question, every fan of their school predicts good things for their school.
21. There goes his credability, what an argument, basing Calebs play on his brothers. Funny.
22. Both big men will play well, this game will be decided by the other players on the court.
23. I agree, take care of the Ball and Deweyville pulls out a close one at home.
24. The League ages for both STJFL and Lonestar are the same, 12 years old, I don't care if the kid is 12 yrs old in the 6th grade or 12 yrs old in the 7th grade they are still 12 yrs old. I've heard that crap for years from STJFL, just because Deweyvilles kids are in the right grade, they are still 12 yrs old.
25. Wow, didn't see this one coming.
