  1. I wouldn't get carried away with the band wagon thing just yet, it's a long season still to be played, and CC is a yearly playoff contender that goes a couple of rounds deep, and is very good this year also, Buna's playing well right now, but playing well right now against a pre-season schedule and playing well in week 11 or 12 against a good quality playoff team is different.

  3. Deweyvilles gonna be real close number wise to the 1A level, depending on the cut off.
  4. Go to Maxpreps and search Vinton, enrollment wise they are equivilent to a Texas 3a school, they went 3 or 4 rounds deep in the playoffs last year, and this years team is a quality ball club. Losing a player like Justin Williams would hurt any team, however, his replacement has rushed for 168 yds against Vinton and 127 yds against Evadale, so the rushing offense hasn't missed a beat, the offensive line is a strength of this team. The mental mistakes i.e. penalties/turnovers need to be corrected, and they are getting better, by the time District play rolls around Deweyville will be firing on all cylinders, they'll show up and play you hard from start to finish.
  5. Bobkat I never said anyone should "shake in their boots" when playing Deweyville, get your facts straight, a Buna poster made that statement, 24-AA is tough top to bottom. And I wish you luck throughout the season, but before you call someone out on the forum, do the research first.
  6. Have to support our 24-AA rep EC in this one, EC-28 HF-27
  7. Ain't no one in 24-AA shakin in their boots after Buna beats a 1-A school 62-6, every team in this District will beat you if you don't show up ready to play.
  8. Deweyville has not put together a complete game yet, (offense & defense). Defense is stout when the right combo is on the field, and they will hit you. The offense is coming around, however, turnovers, mental mistakes are killing some really good drives. The good thing is District games are a couple of weeks away so hopefully by District the Pirates will be rolling and firing on all cylinders.
  9. Deweyville-21 Evadale - 0 Final
  10. Newton - 28 Crockett - 20
  11. Good luck Pirates, play hard.
  12. Obviously someone who has not seen Trammell play, Stelly is good, but Trammell is in another league.
  13. I believe Deweyville JV beat Evadale JV 24 or 26 to 0.
  14. What a joke, are you smoking crack? Must be with this score, these two teams are mirror images of each other, this game will be close.
