Give it up Lumberman367, why can't you understand the situation when a new AD comes in? It's HIS option to retain or let go his Staff. So I get you liked Coach Jackson, as I'm sure others did also, but he's GONE, moved on, why can't you? Why try to reflect negatively on Coach Bickham, who's done nothing but work hard with these kids to bring pride and winning back to Deweyville. The Coaches that are Coaching other sports, let them Coach and then judge the results, you are putting the Cart before the horse. Basketball, Baseball, and other sports are just begining, lets play the games and see the results. It maybe that you just might be surprised at how competitive, and well Coached we are in the other sports.

Recognition does not come from the AD, it comes from the community, parents and fans that show up for the games or events. Deweyville has a budget it has to stay within, a 2a school District budget, not a 4a or 5a budget. It would be real nice to go out and hire all the good Coaches in the area for every sport and pay them accordingly, however that's not realistic. We have Coaches here that want to Coach, so let them. We cannot do anything about past Coaches or Teachers that have moved on, Sounds like Coach Jackson is doing well at his new school, congrats, now lets move on at Deweyville and support what we have here, instead of digging up past incidents.

Where are ya'll eating at before the game? Do you know if they are still selling tickets at WOS school?

Why worry about things you cannot control? If Coach Bickham decides to leave, that's his decision, just like when he was hired, it was his decision to bring in the Staff he wants. You might not agree with his decisions on personnel, but guess what, it's his decisions not yours or anyone else's in Deweyvilles. The man has brought Pride back to Deweyville, not just in Football, but other sports as well. My kids attend the Schools there and I support all Athletics, and personnally, I love to attend Volleyball or Basketball games in the New Gym, and I can't wait to see the New Football and Baseball Facilities next year. We need to Support the school and enjoy the success we are currently having, instead of tearing it down.

Really First Class over there Coop, I think they are looking to do something next year also. We really enjoyed the tournament, and the fans were great.

I'd like to extend a thank you to the STJFL for hosting a Select Junior Football Tournament this weekend at LCJH School Field. The LoneStar Senior Select Team won the Senior Division Championship over a tough Orange County Select Team 31 - 18. In the First round the LoneStar Senior Select Team beat Hardin/Tyler County 18 - 6. Special thanks to Nate Byerly (hope I spelled it right). The kids from LoneStar Junior Football League really enjoyed the competition, and we look forward to next year.

Thanks EcBucFan, good luck to EC this week, we'll be pulling for ya'll. Some people who are at the top sometimes forget how they got there.

hattie do you think Deweyville supporters would come on here and talk about losing or say that Corrigan Camden was better? Get real, I might not know much about alot of things, but I'm still going to go with my team no matter who they play. You should not take the talk on these forums so seriously, most people mean well, although it might not come across that way sometimes. Good luck to CC in the playoffs, they are a talented team.
