  1. Deweyville - 35 EC - 34
  2. Silsbee too physical for BC, Silsbee 35 BC 21
  3. This will be a Dog Fight, I think it will come down to whoever makes the least amount of mistakes will win. Toss up, but I have to pick Deweyville in a close one, Deweyville 35 EC 34. I hear this may be the Game of the Week on Channel 6 KFDM.
  4. WOS - 42 Kirbyville - 14
  5. Yard Bird, it wasn't an on side kick late in the game it was a pouch kick. They were kicking deep and Hardin almost broke a couple of the kick returns for TD's, so the last couple of kicks were pouch kicks. That was a sign of respect for the kick returner, not disrespect.
  6. That's about all that needs to be said New Indian, PNG's tradition and success speaks very loud and validates your point.
  7. I haven't heard much about this topic, so I thought I'd throw it out for some feedback. I believe most school districts are giving Report Cards this week.
  8. I think Gringo has a valid point, alot of these kids first experience with Football is at the 7th and 8th grade levels, so a good foundation needs to be set there and carried forward into High School.
  9. West Brook Memorial Barbers Hill Huffman Ozen Nederland Central Dayton WOS Kirbyville Silsbee BC Deweyville Anahuac Warren Bay Area Diboll Carthage Woodville Kelly Huntington Evadale High Island Colmesneil Sabine Pass
  10. I think Huntington wins in a close on, maybe by 7. West Hardin has a very good football team this year, they seem to get better each week. This game will help them come playoff time.
  11. Pretty close to what I am thinking, although don't count out Anahuac just yet: 1. EC 2. Deweyville 3. Anahuac/Warren 4. Buna 5. Hardin 6. Kountze
  12. Silsbee 35 OF 21
  13. Anahuac 28 Buna 14
  14. I think it will be closer than expected, but Carthage will pull out the win in the end.
  15. Houston Lamar Livingston Lumberton Silsbee BC HJ Kirbyville Shepard Splendora Groveton Deweyville Buna West Hardin High Island Hardin Chester Evadale
  16. Wrong again THE TRUTH, if the schedule already in place does not interfer with the district alignment it is kept. Gotta be smarter than the "Know it all's". Keep to the Minor Leagues THE TRUTH, cause you are way outta your league here.
  17. He was at Deweyville last year, and played the schedule he inherited, the same schedule this year except with Burkeville, the schedule is usually set up 2 years in advance. Therefore he's been at Deweyville under the 2 year schedule set up 2 years ago. Next year he'll set his first schedule.
  18. Wow, I thought Anahuac had speed, was Hitchcock that fast?
  19. Newton has bite off more than it can chew, this week and against Carthage. Silsbee 35 Newton 21 Carthage 41 Newton 14. Nice try Newton, but these teams are too strong.
  20. Coach Bickham did not schedule this year or last years games, he inherited the schedule from the previous staff, next year the schedule will improve. As far as running the score up, Deweyville has 2 or 3 kids that play both ways, this is unique for a small 2a school. If you can't stop straight dive plays with freshman and sophmores running the ball, then how can you tell kids that don't play much to not give it their all when they do get playing time. Come to the games before you comment on a team, any team not just Deweyville. Theres alot of smack being talked by people who are not educated about teams that they have not even seen.
  21. Buna's best hope is fourth or fifth place in District at best. Weak offensive line and their Defense is very suspect.
  22. Hebert High late 70's and early 80's. I played against them at BC, very tough, nasty and hard hitting.
