BC vs. Liberty in Liberty 1980, I forget the tropical storm that was drenching the playing field. One time the ref went to spot the football and it floated away. I played QB and SS for BC, loved it when I was on Defense, but hated it on Offense. BC won 6 -0 over Liberty.

Seems like Anahuac is thinking that just because you drop a classification the other teams in their District are going to be scared and roll over and hand the District Championship to them, I promise Deweyville isn't scared and will play hard for the entire game as will other teams in the District. Anahuac is going to have to earn their wins in this District, nothing will be handed to them. IMHO

I played with Brian Ward from BC in the late 70's and early 80's, he was a special talent, the complete package of speed and power.

I think this is a case where Coach Bickham was hired kinda late in the Summer last year and he wasn't able to bring in or hire the Staff he wants with him. And the turn over now is a reflection of Coach Bickham surrounding himself with the Staff he wants. Nothing against the Coach's that have left, all were respected, however, when a new Coach/AD is hired he usually brings in the personnel he wants.

You should NEVER go into a playoff series thinking that ! That's the quickest way to be sent home.

Thanks Coop for the updates, I wasn't able to attend the game, but it sure sounds like it was a barn burner.

I had the opportunity to watch this game with my son, we are not from WestBrook, however I work with the father of a WestBrook player, We thoroughly enjoyed the Bruins victory over Kingwood. The players from WestBrook never gave up, the crowd was incredible, and I can guarantee we will be back to see more Bruins baseball in the future.
