[/quote] The Pirates have gotten to this place by taking it one game at a time and respecting all opponents.  Pirates haven't won anything yet, tonights game is a chance to validate all their hard work and take another step to a goal of making the playoffs, something that doesn't happen very often in Deweyville. Groveton is a very talented team and are in the run for a playoff berth also just like the Pirates, so they will be fired up and hungry also. That makes for a very tough and physical game next week.

[/quote] We beat CC every where but the score board and out rushed them by 147 yards and had three turn overs, Babin will be the differance, and cc had injuries and a freshman QB when they played NW and were full force when we played them. [/quote] Should be a very physical game, NW is very agressive on Def, while the Pirates love to run right at you.  Gonna come down to mistakes and penalties as most all close games do, the team making the fewest will win, Imo. Pirates have alot to prove after last year's game, and they are healthy so looking forward to a great game.

[/quote] Let's focus on this year and try and forget about the game/ref's last year.  I don't want the focus on anything but the game with NW.  I have talked to my son and talked about the game, not even gonna talk about the officials. We can't control the ref's but we can make the plays and that should be what the Pirates are thinking about.  I am sure Coach Babin knows the history and will teach and practice this week accordingly.  With that being said.
