[/quote] Yes sir, future looks pretty good for Warren, I believe there were several underclassmen on this team, and they played alot of minutes this year, very valuable experience gained, same can be said for the Pirates.

Worst = Buna - visiting players have to walk half mile to field and fan's have to adjust to the light poles in their view. Best = BISD very nice facility for the area, top notch.

Deweyville - 16 or 17 to Newton - 1 Good work for both teams, Pirates hit the ball well and looked pretty good in the field.  Pitchers looked good, (Williams, Howell, McHenry) each pitched two innings.

Just a question.   [/quote] Winning the a state title is a huge accomplishment and the boys should be very proud no matter what the classification.  The coaches have recognized Evadale as the best 1A team in the state, but that does not mean they could compete with the bigger schools in the area. I've only seen Evadale play once. It was a few years ago against Nederland's JV that was comprised mostly of freshman.  Nederland knocked out their All State picher in the 2nd inning and went on to win the game easily. The other game that I know of against a bigger school was against WOS last year.  WOS was a 3rd place team that barely made the playoffs and beat Evadale 11-0 in 5 innings.  They will get another shot at a better WOS team this year, so maybe they will prove me wrong. I wish Evadale the best of luck and hope they win state, but when it comes to being on of the best 5 or 10 teams in the area,  I just don't see it. [/quote] Good point, well said.
