Finally someone with some sense. That is my observation DP also after watching them play 3-games in the tournament.

You are right... running it up is bad..... running your offense and defense is not though.... offense can have limits..(passes, time, etc.......) absolutely... and if you MUST work on the press, even with a big lead, there's nothing to say that a team can't pull the ball back out after a steal and run their regular offense rather than making layup after layup. Excellent point.

I have seen both Kountze and EC Girls play this year and both Teams are very good. They both should make deep playoff runs this year. Both District games should be barn burners, I predict a split with both winning at home.

If Spurger plays like last night, Evadale may have a shot @ a win. "I" beleive it was the worst game this season for Spurger, very off game for them. They played Cleveland this year and only lost by 8 and lost to Goodrich by 12 and these teams are extremely better than Deweyville. Different night, Different game, Different court, Different outcome!!!! Newton should power over Deweyville, maybe the ref that has a grandchild playing on the Deweyville team will not be officating this game like the Spurger/Deweyville game. This shouldn't even be allowed to happen. :'( :'( :'( Want a little wine with that cheese. Please Deweyville won the game, it was a very good, competitive game, don't blame the officials for Spurgers loss, it makes you seem very small minded.

Kirbyvile will be stout, Buna and Kirbyville would be a good series to watch.

Congrats to the Deweyville Lady Pirates for bouncing back from thursdays defeat to win two games today. Coach Hamerly has this program headed in the right direction. I noticed a big improvement in the Lady Pirates overall play from the previous years, keep up the hard work Ladies and hopefully we can keep Coach Hamerly for a few years to get the program back on track, she's a good one.

Congrats to the District Champs of Anahuac, you deserve it, very well Coached team, good luck in the playoffs. As far as Deweyville is concerned, keep your heads up boys, you were more talented than what showed on the field this year. Long, tough season, use the off season to re-evaluate and re-dedicate yourselfs for next year, hopefully others involved in the program will do the same!

Depends on which team is "on" and clicking. Both teams are capable of putting together awesome displays of football, so whichever team wants it more and limits the turnovers will win.
