  1. HD 55, it's a long fall off the ole high horse. ;D That crow tastes alot better with salt and pepper. ;D
  2. How bout them Pirates! Dominating performance from both the Offensive and Defensive lines tonight. Deweyville's running game was clicking on all cylinders by playing physical football, the Defense held together and snuffed out any comeback Kountze tried, congrats Pirates, and build on this positive and continue to play with Heart, Determination and Desire. Also, I'd like to add that this was not a bad performance for some slow, non-athletic kids from Deweyville. ;D
  3. Lumberton EC WOS WB NS Dayton Vidor Ned Jasper HJ PNG Cleveland Coldspring Shepard Newton Kirbyville Buna Deweyville Burkeville Chester WH HD HF
  4. Kountze 8th Grade - 14 Deweyville - 12 Deweyville 7th Grade - 30 Kountze - 0
  5. Going to be a long night for Hardin: EC - 35 Hardin - 14
  6. Not trying to start a "Church and State" discussion but, if you're going to get in trouble, praying to God is a worth while reason to get in trouble. JUST MY OPINION... I couldn't agree with you more BigMO!
  7. Which Deweyville team are you talking about the slow one, weak one, or the unathletic one???? jrrd2010 If you or just trying to disrespect Deweyville you need to go some where else because you really do not know what you are talking about. Deweyville is not slow, they are surely not weak, and they have some very good athletes, It is not there fault there head coach will not put them in a position to be successfull. This same team won district 2 years ago on the JV level under different coaching. So if you bad mouth some one do it to the coaching staff not to the athletes That want to win. "Just my opinion" . uhmm.. Mr. Pirate person.. are yall talkin about the same Deweyville? The mesquito infested place?? If so.. i would have to agree with mr. jrrd2010. or jrrd201 however you prefer. Are you from SE Texas? All of SE Texas is mosiquito infested. Come Friday night let they players play the game and then the questions of whose slow, weak and non athletic will be answered.
  8. i agree with you on the district outcome but i do not believe that HD will go deep in the playoffs no offense HD is good for the district but the district is extremely weak probably 1 of the weakest districts in the state. What are you smoking !!! H-D NO OFFENSE !!! H-D is a great offensive team averaging over 30 points a game and lead by soon to be district MVP Aaron Cook. Also remember H-D has two victories over two 2A teams and still is averaging over 30 points a game. LOL NO OFFENSE !!! We will crush Evadale and West Hardin. Blow outs !!! H-D had no problem beating bigger schools in preseason, while Evadale and West Hardin played and may have beaten the South Texas school for the blind. H-D will breeze through this pile of garbage district. So if Hd wins it all are they the "garbage king"? Y'all can always play Newton if ya'll think y'all are bad enough. No respect, fear or love forthcoming. ;D
  9. Bucster has been transferred to Midland Texas. Don't have much time to read the board anymore. Ok, glad to know you are ok. Good luck in Midland.
  10. That's what we call around here a good ole country boy a_ _ whipping. EC is the real deal, congrats on the win and good luck the rest of the year. As far as Deweyville is concerned, keep your heads up, you still have 5 District Games left. Deweyville cannot continue to turn the ball over I believe 6 or 7 times tonight and expect to beat anybody, much less the District Champs. Learn from this loss and get better, good luck next week.
  11. Still here, recovering from Ike... I haven't posted in a while, because it seems so many posters here just want to argue, trash talk, and insult. I miss REAL football conversation, and I appreciate all who likewise value it, its just in short supply lately. Good to hear from Steeler and our friends at DV, hope yall are doing well, and thanks for asking. We are looking forward to a good, friendly game tonight. Take Care, ECBucFan. Alright, glad to hear from ya also, ya'll be careful on the drive to and from the game, and remember to bring lots of bug spray. Good luck tonight and the rest of the season.
  12. Anyone heard from ECBucFan or Bucster since Ike? Miss their input on the message board.
  13. Wow, I want to see the 8th Grade Team that beats EC's 8th Grade this year, talk about a well Coached, disciplined team with speed, size and they know how to play football, congrats to EC's 8th Grade Team, they are very good. Same comments about size, and speed can be said about Deweyville's 7th Grade Team, very tough team to beat. Congrats to Deweyville's 7th Grade Team.
  14. Thats it DP, plain and simple, if the Pirates want to step up into that class, (i.e. EC), then they have beat the champs.
  15. Yes they have speed and power this year, they should be fun to watch this year.
  16. Very good observation BigMo, you can't put that square peg in the round hole, it just doesn't work. The strength is the running game, that sets up play action later.
  17. EC 8th Grade should provide a very stiff test for Deweyville 8th Grade, EC handed Deweyville their worst loss last year as 7th Graders. Deweyville 7th Grade should beat EC 7th Grade, Deweyville 7th Grade is pretty good.
  18. HD beat Deweyville in a scrimmage when Deweyville threw 80 percent of the time trying out the new offense, when we did run the ball HD didn't stop Deweyville. New Coach with totally new offense/defense being taught in a scrimmage does not mean squat now. Example, Deweyville ran 70 - 75 percent against HF in the game, HF is a good football team with good Coaching. The turnovers were caused by pressure and hits on the ball carriers/QB if you had seen the game you would know this, as far as HD being in this District we will never know cause they aren't, so your opinion that HD could compete in 23aa is one that is not shared by me. EC may beat Deweyville, this District is tough, the Champs I believe will have at least 1 loss due to the balance this year in the District. Ahh, but if you read my post it says "more times than not not" turnovers are a result of lack of timing and practice. You are right, I didn't see the HF vs. Deweyville game, but I did see the Deweyville vs. HD scrimmage, and the Pirates were not impressive, in my opinion reguardless of the offense they were running or trying to install. Hull-Daisetta was never stopped on their offensive snaps, while they shut down the Pirates and forced a few turnovers along the way. Deweyville just didn't seem to have alot of good athletes on the field. In small school ball it doesn't matter if you run the spread, zone read, wing-T, wishbone or anything in between, it all boils down to athletes in which East Chambers has the edge. You have your best 11 kids on the field, in hopefully the right positions for the most success for the team, and let 'em go. Heart and determination can be somewhat of a deciding factor, but only to a certain extent. Good luck to both teams and I won't even be sorry if I'm wrong, because I wouldn't mind seeing the Bucs go down, but this is just my opinion. P.S. As far as HD not being able to compete in the district, we've already handed Warren and Hardin their only losses, and dominated Deweyville in a live scrimmage (ohh yeah, that doesnt' count.....riiigght) who's only loss was in OT to Hampshire-Fanett. Anahuc looks to be weaker than all three of these teams and Kountze would have came down to the wire if that game wasn't cancelled due to the Hurricane. With all that being said, I think HD could at least "compete" in your district I agree with you on a couple of points, however, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the others. Good luck to HD.
