No I believe WOS is better than Carthage on the court.

Why would you see it next year. Next year we should still have 4 of our starting five back from this years team and be looking for top competition again.

I believe it will be a different game even if there are limited football players in time and number and a healthy Bush.

Add to all that the fact that Bush only played the first half and wasn’t himself and the fact that Devon was limited by foul trouble and it got out of hand.

I am sure some will start playing Tuesday but some will probably sit out to heal any nagging injuries. Either way not sure how many minutes they may play.

Oh after seeing it last night, I can imagine. Although we helped by some pretty bad defense as well. No way some of those plays should have been as easy as they were....maybe same results for the play but not that easy..some of them looked like we didn’t even have a defender on that side of the field.

Did your stat program break on Carthage first half??

Was told he has a minor injury from a collision last night. Will be ok.

This game was without Bush...

E I believe it was either still 50-21or 57 -21 if we score on that paosseision to end the half and the first of the second half we r either 15 or 22 behind. Stopping Carthage was definitely still the problem but that was my scenario.

We were knocked out of the playoffs in football last year in the first round, well before the Dallas tourney.

If that’s as the case then why call any of those time outs and argue for time to be put back on the clock with 32 secs left in the half?

That was in the first half...should have been looking to score especially when getting the ball back after the half. If score on both possessions at that point it could have been a 2 or 3 possession game...too early to give up hope.

I normally don’t make statements concerning the coaching part of things, but last night it appeared to me that the coaches were not only outmatched but gave up in that second quarter as well. We moved the ball pretty consistently through the air yet continued to stick with a running game that was going nowhere. Not only that but with the ball and about a minute left in the half and all 3 timeouts we let about 30 seconds run off the clock without taking a timeout. Oh well probably better in the long run the way they scored at the end they may have reached 80 in that first half with another 39 seconds....

Actually 15 of those were for that reason....the other 21 were on that first team.

I believe those last 2 scores were against Carthages scrubs. Our 3 scores otherwise were all Barnes 2 long receptions and a jump ball. Couldn’t run the ball against the starters but moved the ball passing. Absolutely could not stop their offense!!!!!!

And heck I wouldnt really call either of those onside kicks. One was a muffed catch of a pooch kick and the other was a pooch kick 20 yards down field that we didn’t even try to cover. Just poor play there.

Everything resulted in points only stop we had was when they only got one play before halftime.

He had looked real good. Had a long run I remember and maybe a swing pass. They are killing our secondary and then running all over us.

The Carthage offense is everything it has been made out to be. Their defense is real good against the run but we have been able to throw the ball very consistently. Not near as impressed on the defense overall as the offense. Congratulations Carthage you have already put a whoopin on us. Good luck from here on out.
