  1. Actually according to the Texas high school power lifting association website Mark won 3 straight in 88,89, and 90 all individual titles. However Silsbee also had 4 years straight of team titles in 93,94,95, and 96.
  2. Yes I think I heard during the 6A game over 90,000 for the tournament. 15,000 more than the last 2. I think those were Breithraups numbers when he was interviewed.
  3. That wouldn't be surprising but he may very well want to stay on for at least the next couple years with the talent he has.
  4. You have been saying this and I can understand why. But it's going to be tough to be better as whole than this group. Those three should definitely get better and you add Martin and Tyler to them for the next two years as well as a freshman that was on the Jv this year that looks like he will be pretty good and there is good base for the next two years. However we are losing both of our posts, at least size wise, between this year and next. Not sure who we will have to fill those two spots. But it's going to be fun to watch.
  5. I have heard some speculating already but I heard the same thing about some players before this year. Even heard from one himself that he wasn't sure. Ask him right now if he made the right decision. I will put it this wayand in football terms: I thought they were going to have to tackle him yesterday to get that trophy away from him!
  6. Yes both deserved it. But I know he could care less at this point. Congratulations to all who made it.
  7. I don't think there is any way they will use Adams down low next year at least not regularly. We got a glimpse of being without Jones during the latter part of district. Jordyn is way to valuable as a shooter. Barnes of course will be the main post but look for Devon to be used more as that second person in the blocks at least when we get in an offensive set.
  8. Exactly and I wouldn't have it any other way. And when it's game time I have no qualms about wanting my Tigers to win, but at the end of the day they are all still kids who have, just as you said, poured their heart and soul into getting to and winning that one game.
  9. I have congratulated my Tigers over and over and expressed how proud I am, but I also have to say I really hate seeing the kids on the other side. I know how hard it was last year on our guys and us fans. Yes there must be a winner and loser but to see a kid almost singlehandedly keep his team in it and then come up short is never easy. I may not have thought much about it last night or even noticed it in the aftermath but I know how tough it is after last year. Hats off for a great game to Brazosport's Chris Rossow. He has to be right up there with Grimes as far as the best two opposing players I got to see this year.
  10. Yes it's hard to pick a team MVP this year for the Tigers. Harris kind of takes a back seat attention wise to the younger teammates but he would be a leading candidate. He has been a big leader on this team all year long and those were the 4 biggest free throws of his life!!!
  11. This is all tournament isn't it?? All state will come out later.
  12. Thanks! #theonlyonethatmattersisthecurrentone!
  13. Going into each of the last two years, I have heard how having a team as talented as we have had was just asking for trouble, too many players they are going to have issues with playing time. Well I have said it for two years and even though we added a few new faces this year, the result has been 2 state finals and 1 State Championship. This team is special not just because they won that Title but because of the way they have played together and gone through so many trials along the way. This is a TEAM, no one player bigger than the others. Sure they had tough moments but this team picked each other up, no ONE player had to be the "star". The star was whoever was playing best that night. I have never seen a Tiger team that was near the team this one is and I am not talking talent here. This is why they were finally able to get over that hump. Congratulations Tigers on a well earned State Championship!!!! You definitely deserve it!
  14. Don't forget Barnes still has another year as well as a few more on that bench!
  15. I was just going to say the Tigers won this at the free throw line. Can't remember shooting 35 and only missing 8 as well as taking over the boards after being beat on the boards yesterday and even early in the game we controlled them tonight.
  16. You have steered me right many times let's hope tonight is one of them!!! GO TIGERS!!!!!
  17. That wasn't what my statement was about, so don't take it there. My statement was directed at those who said not having him isn't a difference not that we should have him.
  18. One thing, I am proud of every Tiger out there, great job getting a tough win! One thing though that said missing Devon didn't matter, this is one where we definitely missed his rebounding and size and ability to get to the rim with that size.
  19. Anybody know CPR I think I need it...couldn't be there today but had live scoring on my phone and video on the iPad!!! But my voice will be heard tomorrow!!!!!!
  20. Mansfield Timberview leads Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial 22-18 at the half
  21. You can still win playing a bad first half....you can't win if the game winning bucket is waved off on a bad call.
  22. Hmmmm...and refs can't effect outcome....stopped momentum right there.
