Definitely hope so as I don't see anyone beating us in the regular season.

Not just for defense but you have 2 or 3 of the better pressure and on ball defenders in that unit. One of which is a good offensive threat as well. But much of that groups offense comes from their speed and defense, where that starting group has more of your big scoring threats. Now don't think I am knocking either group in either way, we have seen several players this year with 15 or more points and that first group does a pretty good job creating scores from defense as well.

One of those didn't play long in the first one. But yes I really don't expect too much of a game in this one but I still won't be surprised.

Notice as you well know where the bigger margin was.

Two factors in this one possibly 3: 1. Almost always a close game, even though I don't think this one should be closer than say 12-15 pts, it won't surprise me if it is. 2. It is a home game. No secret that the Tigers seem to get a little distracted at home and tend to play better on the road. And the 3rd factor may be whether or not Michael McCain plays or not. Not sure what the repercussions will be from his ejection.

I am sure I know who you are thinking of and he is working on that shot was 1 for 2 or 3 yesterday. If he gets that down it will be scary. As far as defense, he spent a pretty good bit of the second half on grimes and had some fans upset when he wasn't on him. Grimes did most of his wrk in that sevond quarter and I don't think it would have mattered who was on him. The way he shot the ball that quarter i don't know if any high schooler would have slowed him down much. Several of those shots were with hands right in his face. As far as defensive players, we also saw some hints of that in the second half as we saw some log stretches with Bush, Lil C and Newton, along with 2 of the 3 from Harris, Devon and Adams. And that group was a major if not the reason we got back in it.

Oh I know it's not the first time and I agree. And I for one told Mike after the game that he has to watch those reactions. You could see the ref waiting to call that second one. Not sure of that first one. I would like to know what the ref heard or what he said he called it for. I was looking elsewhere when it was called.

Definitely! Was hitting shots with guys doing all they could. I made the comment a couple times that there was just nothing else we could do to defend him. That second quarter was amazing. He definitely has skills and jumping ability. And he knew how to hit the open guy.

Haha. Not sure the first was really warranted. I can't say it was or wasn't. Really didn't see it. Nothing had gone on. Didn't even see any players mouthing that early in the game. I know something was said. The second Mike was frustrated at the call and was going on with his reaction. Ref looked at him a couple times and you could tell he was just waiting to call it and it went on long enough that he did just that. The other tech was just a book keeping mistake...the roster was copied from an earlier game with the numbers from those uniforms not the new ones. All 6 fts were made I believe which created the point spread.

I have to say hats off to CP. Good game. Seemed like every time the Tigers tried to help out on defense they found the open man for 3. The Tigers responded well and just fell short of the comeback. We have to respond a little better when a player gets on a run like Grimes did in the second qtr. Good defense in that second half , got the Tigers rolling.! Still a few mistakes here and there that cost us
