Yes it was a first down I remembered last night because it was 4th down and it looked like they made it by about a foot. I think we may have been questioning needing a measurement at first. The referee also waved off an unsportsmanlike on one of our coaches before our last two plays. Yes it would have been great not to have had that period to set up that play but that wasn't the difference. Carthage would have probably spiked the ball and still had 20 secs or so left. We cost ourselves in the clock management by snapping the ball with 10 or 12 seconds left most every play of that last drive.

Oh I know that and w all wanted it.

I have been waiting for bball season and having the whole team on the court but I sure hate o see them lose like this. Especially knowing how bad they wanted this one.

The clock stopped first because of the first down if I remember right may have been incomplete pass then it took longer because we were questioning the time I believe. I really didn't see anything big in the refs part. That last drive we had was the big difference, one thing I didn't understand at all is we snapped the ball with about 10 seconds or so on almost every play of that drive. We could have eaten off probably 30 seconds or more that we left on the clock. Carthage got the ball back and went downfield and scored and won.

Those previous kids didnt have the earmark of being deemed ineligible by the UiL, did they. Remember Mayfield was never a uil eligibility issue just a team rules issue.

Heck when they had a 3rd and long against us they usually got at least 10 or 15 extra yards.

Now if you want to compare points let's just compare common opponents ant throw out the possibility of the stronger or weaker schedule argument. Those would be district games plus WOS and Newton. And I will even not count the 2 we scored against WOS since it was more like they scored on themselves. So in those games BC scored 259 compared to you guessed it 259 for the Tigers. Now I am not going to go back and add yardages but fro these numbers it looks like our 1 or 2 backs are doing just as well as all of yours. And except for 1 extra point it would all be equal.

I haven't really wondered why he isn't using them both. Keep Adonis fresher for defense. I like using less both ways.

It's hard for me to say we have the best backfield overall we do have the best back in the district and another right there with him. The problem is to have the best backfield to me you would have to play both of them there a good bit. You rarely see both on the field at the same time. Adonis has not had near as many opportunities this year. He has produced when he has had the chance. But he has been a big part of the defense.

They did add a new gym last year.

Oh and I know gym rat high well at least by name hasn't been here that long.
