Somehow I am always getting Sterling mixed up with Houston Madison, and I made that mistake here. I was not referring to Dallas Madison like it may have looked like but to Houston Sterling.

I can agree with that, and that's why this matchup would be tough for us. We don't usually shoot the ball well and our defenseis what we live on so those things have to improve. We did beat Argyle in more of a half court game but that was a rarity. We would definitely have to be better in that aspect. Madison was s lot like us as far as depending a lot on athleticism but bigger. Our advantage would be our quickness but it alone wouldn't do the job. I hope it happens in San Antonio but there is a lot of work to be done between now and then. Oh and I wouldn't have counted that first game much anyway.

Definitely have to improve to keep up. The football thing will play a part as well, hearing there may be a few more Tiger bbball players on the field this year. No all the Tigers aren't on th e same AAU team, Dontre and Bruce are along with 4 or 5 more Tigers. They will have to play a little more as a team to have much benefit though. I hope the Tigers get to March to make that matchup a possibility.

Of course. One thing from this year that was a little encouraging was the fact that they only beat Kennedale by 12 in the playoffs and lost yo them in the first game of the year. We beat them by 8 in Fort Worth. I know that doesn't mean much but at least shows the possibility is there for a good game.

Definitely will take something to beat that team!

Definitely being a summer program that parents are putting out money for everyone needs to play, I saw this in in each of Brady's games this weekend. I also saw a couple teams like you said too many players, no benefit for some. I know it's tough dealing with parents and players alike.

And before anyone jumps I really think the coaches do a great job with this bunch as I heard several of their discussions. I also believe they use the players right. I just thought that might be an advantage right now early in the season.

I figured that would be a big part of the reason. And I am not saying they were the best 5 on the team just saying that those 5 had played together most recently and woubld have been a thought to put them in for a little time together. This game was a close loss and maybe a couple of minutes at the end would have pulled it out maybe not. I wasn't saying most of the time or even a large part of the time but that answer was just about exactly what I was expecting.

Ha! No converting here, I understand some strong points but think one of those supposed strong points may be a weak point as well. I really prefer watching the school teams play. More pride and better play generally. I like anyone else like to see som of the better individual plays but would rather see them happen in a good team game than just trying to make them happen over and over. The jr high kids games were better this weekend just a better flow I guess. I had one question, this weekend , but don't want it to sound like a coach criticism. It is more of wondering if it's for aau reasons or avoiding any problems from parents or just purely a coaches decision. Brady has 4 Tiger starters and Barnes and Mayes. I wondered especially this close to the end of their school season, why those four and one of the other two were never on the floor at the same time or at least that I can remember or saw. It seemed to me that in the first game I saw the end of the game would have been a great time to throw 5 of them out there and let them play that smothering Tiger D and create some offense from it. They know where each other is going to be better than anyone else at this point. Like I said I am just wondering don't want to criticize Brady, it is great he puts so much in to this.

And I thought somewhere I heard Bush was in this team but was told he was playing with another team in this tourney.

One the hoops had to play back to back while the defenders got a one game break.

Playing Houston Hoops leading 51-36 with abor 12 minutes left, had a 16 point lead in first halt that went die to a 1 pt lead at the half.

The 11:45 game at north shore got moved to 1:20 at the gym.

True they are definitely getting good experience. I just hope that some aspects aren't what they seemed today, like how much the officials let go. And, not that I would call it selfishness really but today I saw a lot of going to the hole and trying to finish without making a pass. I know I was told that that wasn't how,the coaches wanted it but it happened more than setting up,any semblance of an offense. One of the main things I liked this year watching Silsbee was how we played as a team nd I saw flashes of that but would love to see more of it.
