I can recalll SEVERAL HJ players who were close or at 20yrs old still playing basketball and going to state!!!
Did these same players get the opportunity to have 5 years of Varsity experience?
Once again a biased opinion that doesn't know the facts..... Chris has only 3 years varsity experience. He was merely brought up to the team for the playoffs for what would have been the first year but he never touched the floor thus he has only participated three years and even if he hadi posted a uil rule which stated that you could only participate 4 years from the time you enter high school which appears to leave it open to participating whole I'm jr hi. That rule doesn't matter in this case because Chris has only participated three. I have asked for a true explanation of that rule and never recieved a good answer. -
No doubt we needed those shots. We have been a streaky shooting team to say the least more not so good streaks than good. If I remember correctly we only hit one if any threes in that game and at that point in the fourth quarter we weren't going to starts long them. I felt that we resorted to those shots too early and had somewhat of a chance if we would have been able to keep playing our game. There were a couple key foul outs there as well.

And even if he did reach the age of 20 assuming it was because he failed and stating such on a public forum is definitely wrong on your part. There are several reasons a student could fall behind a year or two besides failure. -

Actually he has not played for 4 years, he was brought up to the varsity for that first year but never played. -
Expect another solid, if not spectacular season with Reed at the helm but as always I am never gonna underestimate the competitive drive that WOS brings to the table. With WOS' ability to rapidly adapt to game plans midstride and Silsbee's reluctance to change too much within the game itself it almost always results in a close game. Home against WOS helps but I am still going with a 9 - 1 season. Again, JMO. Go Tigers!
We play WOS there this year.... -
I got a data table error message last night so I bet that is the date that had to be used to bring the site back up.
-
Look at all this "negativity" from these hj people. Everyone knows that WOS is the district favorite next year, with hj right behind them, and then hopefully my Tigers can get that last playoff spot!
-
The statement made by commentators last night was that "that would be a foul in the first 46 minutes." The last two minutes shouldn't be any different than the rest of the game.

At the state tourney, they seed the top two teams by overall record. Silsbee and Cooper have the two best records. Silsbee will play either La Grange or Pleasant Grove in the semifinals.
Ive heard PG is VERY good.
I would guess so being its their 6th straight year to go to Austin.

You are looking at only the brackets for regions 1 and 3 and leaving out regions 2 and 4.
-
There are 4 regions in tx not just 2. Each region has 2 teams playing in their finals, 4*2. That leaves 8 teams playing right now. The winners of each region go to Austin and play for the state title in a 4 team single elimination tournament. As far as the rankings, I don't know what they were before the playoffs began but they don't change .

Why would these two not play in Woodville. A nice central location and what was a very nice facility(I am assumig it sill is). That would make it easy on both schools and the fans.
