Tvc the blog said the one fishing around friends wood was traveling 120 miles one way and one was 80iles into Louisiana. Both taking a lot longer than 30 or 40 minutes.

We have see eagles on the lake regularly but this morning we had four flying over us. That is the most we have ever seen at one time. Two of them even fought for a moment free falling until they were maybe 75 yards above the water where they seperated and went back to soaring.

Spent the last day and a half on Rayburn, the bite really picked up late this evening. Must have caught 6 or 8 between 6:45 and 7:15. None of any size but did bring home a nice mess of fish.

I will text you a screenshot of the trakker they had on saturday of some of the boats on a map. It shows where some were saturday morning I nscreen captured it on my phone. It doesn't show the two furtherest but I saw them on there as well.

Go to the bassmaster link in an above post and scan the blog one angler said he put over 1000 miles on his boat during the week. They ran the intercoastal, through galveston bay, and east bay. I would like to know how you know you are going to fish out of orange and select a spot around Lake Charles or Lake Arthur.
I would love to see a map of the area covered by the pros this week.
From Friendswood to Lake Arthur a very large area.

I think I read 90 miles but will have to look at a map to see some of the routes to those places.

Thes guys did have to launch in Orange, right? Looking at their tracker they are as far away as north of Lake Charles and Houston.

Yates just fell victim to another big city team who had just as many or more players than they did. A taste of what all us small town teams get.
Actually Yates has 2x the enrollment of Madison. Madison was the smallest 3A school competing at the Tournament.
My point wasn't the size of the school but on the size of the city. Thus enabling a lot more athletes to attend the school and not really have to move. May not happen as much at Madison as we all see at Yates. I don't know.

Yes he will be in High school but he may not have athletic eligibility.

3A stat title game. It should be a good one. Madison has the size and depth to natch Yates, even in numbers of big men. I haven't seen Madison play but it appears that they play just as many players if not more than Yates. I know my Tigers gave Yates a battle with great speed, good guard play and a big game by an undersized big man. Yates press wasn't a factor against our guards. With Madison's size neutralizing Yates big men, the inside game could be a wash or even in their favor. Without seeing them play I am not sure how good their guards are or how deep they can go in that position. If they are solid at guard, I think this game will be won by Madison and maybe by a decent margin. I don't know how many players Madison will use in a matchup like this but I have seen Yates three times this year and on all three when the game was tight, Wise's bench got a few players smaller, if that happens they lose what has been their big advantage over most teams. I won't be surprised with a win by either team but my pick is Madison.

Very much so. It also showed just how wrong those who said that we couldn't run with Yates or we would get run off the court were.

3A Region III Final, Houston Yates vs. LaMarque

Yates was very impressive. Until late in the game they kept at least 3 guys 6'6" on the court. Had a 6'9" guy who didn't play until garbage time. #25 was just a beast down low. Freshman comes in and just rains 3s.
and the fact that they can be that tall AND run all day is huge
They can run all day and be tall but those big guys can't run all day. They get tired. I witnessed that in two games. The big part is that they have 3 or 4 that can rotate in and keep a couple on the floor and never slow down. -

Definitely so when you see a Brookshire Royal get to move to region 4 and end up in Austin. Just the luck of the draw. -

If tabc records are correct Yates and Wylie will be top seeds. So Yates and Madison could be a semi final. -

Looks like the real regional title game was played on that same court Tuesday night. -
That sounds about right. I figured LaMarque would be in the finals against Waco. ;D

At least to a degree I can understand what Bluedove3 and DV have said. Success does the recruiting. Even both HJ and yes Silsbee have benefitted from this as well. However it isn't near to the level of these schools in larger cities. And definitely not to the level of international move ins. These schools in large cities can get multiple transfers because they don't necessarily have to move. Our local schools have very few opportunities like that. Maybe a case or two where one lives on a boundary line. The only way to really make it fair wont happen because it wouldn't be fair to the schools that aren't successful enough to reap the rewards. That solution would be placing all the big city schools in a class by themselves(highly unfeasible) or place them in the largest classification. I know neither will happen for many reasons but not sure of any good solution.

Sounds like a good number to me.
