1. Definitely nobody ever focuses on HJ and look how many games they win.
2. Lets see according to the experts on this site, Central is supposed to be the best team in the area.  They beat Yates, yes it was summer ball. The Tigers just beat them with 5 or 6 of their top 9 out 10 players still playing football.  Yates must be getting very scared of these Tigers!  :o
3. Proudmom your son has played pretty well when I have seen him so far this year, but not sure I would say he is one of the two starters on the floor  right now. There are two starting right now that were starting for the Tigers last year.
They definitely don't look like it tonight! >:(
Maybe that is because of the Tigers defense. Townley is running for his life  ;D ;D
They have played better defenses and weren't this bad. They drove the ball inside the Tigers 10 twice and didn't score that is on the O. Not talking anything away from Silsbee, but it's obvious Huffman has had an off night so far.
The problem for Huffman was the same one my Tigers faced last week,  speed on the defensive side.  Huffman had one player with enough speed to get open consistently, Gray.  The speed the Tigers have in the secondary pretty much limited Huffman's success through the air.
5. ' Falcon feathers now mixed in with all the Cardinal Feathers at Provost-Umprey!.
6. And at least at this point in the season that us what Yates seem like they may be beatable,  they don't have a much depth asin t he past, at least right now.
7.
I hope I don't get in trouble for showing you guys how Yates is [s]beatable[/s] PLAYABLE from my hometown folkx.  :-X
I may get a second look at Yates next Wednesday night....
8. This video is from last year.  The difference seems to be that last years team was more loaded, based on what I saw monday.  Granted that will probably change later in the year as some of the newer players get more experience.  Their weakness is just what you stated giving up easy baskets once you break the press,  and not much offense except for that created by the press.  Handle the press and you have a good chance of pulling off the upset.  Now with that being said I really feel the starting lineup that they put on the floor monday could probably dominate 3A in more of a half court game(not saying they won't with what they do) but what 3A team can match up with that much size?  Now my question is can a team create enough havoc on Yates to force them into lots of turnovers like they do to other teams?
9. You act like I said we would win. Didnt say that at all just said there is a chance, and that it would take a real good game.  I didn't say it was a big chance or even a good one.  Heck I know as well as anybody that once again  the Tigers size makes them even more vulnerable on an offnight.
10. From what I saw monday  Yates only went about 10 deep.  If w we play them I think we are just as fast as they are and just as deep.  I dont know if fatigue will factor in, but it could on either side. Wise didn't rotate his players in that first game like I have seen him do in the past.  It was more of a traditional rotation. There big advantage will be having 5 or 6 players 6'6 or so. I believe if the Tigers can play their best that night if it happens, then we have a chance. I an not sure Yates will face other teams that eill come at them just a hard and maybe r even faster than they come at you. Still the underdogs, yes, but there iis a chance.
11.
And Westbrook vs Westbury Christian / I know WB beat WBC. WBC had played Yates the night before. How did WBC look? But I'm glad a S.E.Texas team beat them.
And stayed right with Yates through most of 3 quarters.  WBC has size about like our local 3A teams and aren't near as fast as one will be.
12. Had one of those magazines to give you myself.  It has some nice "info" as far as our 3A schools go.
13. PNG was led tonight by their qb with 17 pts. The Tigers were led by Dante Wilson with 18, and Austin Jenkins with 13 on 4/6 from behind the arc. DaVaughn Thomas had 12, Jake Dobbins with 9, Eric Wallace with 6(6/8 ft s) and Cedric Irvin had 2.  The Tigers were were 8 for 23 from 3 pt range and 10/19 at the line. Granted I could have missed a shot or two.
14. Tigers less 57-48 less than a minute left.
15. Looks like 9 suited for varsity.
16. Tigers jv playing with 7 players.
17. LCM will have a nice first round game.  Should have a chance to move on, maybe.
18. Yeah I knew we would probably still have a lot out.  And those probably won't be good times for me.
19. I want to see a Silsbee/Madison rematch, at a time that I can see it!
20. Unlike the Indians, the Tigers are missing several players due to football so I figured the schedule may be changed a little.  ;D ;D
