1. Basketball coaches have passed on the 'weak ' scheduling philosophy to the football coaches!
 2. That was a very rude moment indeed but it actually was during Curtis Buckley's moment of honor, which was before Mark's.
 3.
Welcome back Chris Elam!!!!!
No joke.  Great game Chris. I thought this was the best all around game the Tigers have played.  We just need to cut down on the penalties especially the personal fouls.  No reason for some of those!
 4. Is kickoff really at 7  tonight instead of 7:30.  I thought that time was just district games.
 5. You are all over the place Dove, your word is mud now, cannot take you seriously.
Well, I posted the video of the 5'9" guard dunking and showing out as a warning to Hj & Silsbee as to what they will have to face in their region this year. I keep forgetting you are a Silsbee grad. Oh well, it is what it is!!
I think the Tigers proved last year that a half court three beats a dunk!

I am sitting here in Kountze watching an  eighth grade football game. I have seen for plays two on special teams and two on offense where Kountze had as few as nine players on the field. The coach even counted players on one kickoff where they were shorthanded. Those seem to be the things that should be focused on in jr high game, the basics.  Get these kids ready for the next level and pay more attention to them now.
Yeah it looked ruff.. But they have only been practicing for a week with pads on. That 8th grade Ktz team will breeze through district in basketball and football. Silsbee's 8th grade is a elite team in my opinion.. (I coach kids from both teams in basketball) but you are right, basic stuff like that SHOULD be the focus
This was in no way directed at the kids.  It was directed towards the coaching. It was evident that Kountze was outmanned as far as overall talent in both games. I was actually there on the Kountze side due to knowing the parent of a Kountze 7th grade player.  Kountze actually ran at least 2 or 3 of these plays with not enough players on the field. These kids have actually been in pads almost three weeks now, they were supposed to play a game  two thursdays ago but couldn't because they had only got their pads that monday.  It was obvious that these kids weren't getting enough direction either in amount of time or quality of instuction. Coaches should have realized a lot quicker how many players were on the field.  Those kids deserve better.

 8. No in the Tigers case its run, run, run and gun!
 9. I know Kelly beat what I  was told was pretty much Vidor's varsity in a close game.  The early games were listed as jv don't know anything about those and we left early in the Nederland/Memorial game. Which was definitely Nederland's top 6 or 7 players.  How many starters do they have back? I saw at least 3 or 4 players that I recognized.
 10. It lists their jv in an earlier game.  I believe this to was a group of maybe of var reserves and jv as it was Ned black and there is a Ned gold playing memorial and u see two definite varsity starters on that team. Tigers have a couple faces I am not familiar with a Hardaway and Haynes that look good. Tigers take out WOS 47-38 in the second game.
 11. Auto correct WOS Tigers take out Nederland in the first game 60-36. Tigers have 2 varsity players from last year playing as well as another that played varsity party of the year.
 12. :) :) Don't know just heard this last friday. Supposed to be games tokay and next monday.
 13. Fall league games tonight in Nederland as well.
Nope, in Lumberton.
Game's in Lumberton. Stadium is ready...still working on the field house. Lumberton loses this one.
I heard the field house not being ready is why they moved last weeks game to Barbers Hill...I also heard from someone working on part of this project at least that one part was still a long way from being done. I think that part is part of the practice  facility.
 15. Congratulations PNG on the win.  The Tigers let a few chances slip throught their fingers in this one.  Both teams still have some work to do.  I could see definite improvement in some of the Tigers from last season but the offense overall seemed to have the same problem: move the ball a lot and then have trouble getting into the endzone.  We have to catch the ball,  way to many dropped passes!! Get rid of the gloves!!  I  don't like going to the wildcat near the endzone.  Everyone knows whats coming, and if you do happen to throw the ball its with a player hasn't been throwing the ball the whole game.  With a back the size of Spearman,  run the offense and give yourself a lot more options.  If you want the speedier back in there go with a two back set.  I can't really argue with the decision to go for 2 at the end.  We seemed to have the momentum and we had a bad snap earlier.  However, I would have liked to have seen the sophomore kicker make one like that early in the season for a confidence builder.  As far as the officiating......I don't think they knew they could call pass interference in a high school game(against either team)!! I would also like to know what the discussion was on the motion call on the fake punt. Great game to start the season,  it was good to see the Tiger's fight back and almost pull one out against a team like the Indians.
 16. We need some round footballs for these bball players/receivers!
 17. Looks like a good plan,  traffic has been tough in the past..
 18. This is my favorite.....[Hidden Content].
Ok Sanchez, gave the thread 1-1/2 hours - now back to the ticket talk.  Anyone wanna bet someone will be at the field house by 6a?  BTW- any place to eat between Bmt and Silsbee would be money wise to fly the Purple and White, we seem to travel in packs and love to take over any joint we find. Sticking to my original pick - NDNS by 10, and we'll see quite a few underclassmen. Remember "Purple and White on field of green, prettiest site you've ever seen!!" ;)
This is an easy one, many of your fellow PNG fans will tell you, the best place to stop is Catfish Cabin in Lumberton.
 20.
I have the complete stats of this scrimmage. Will post them soon as I finish my Subway sandwich. Very one sided. ;)
That must be one big subway.... ;D ;D ;D
