Going to be a tough one, lots of match up problems.  Going to have to really but the boards and shoot well.  HJ proved LaVega isnt as unbeatable as some have made them out to be.

La Vega doesn't impress me in person anymore than they did on tv.  HJ  is taking it to them.

Athens has some  shooters.  Tigers three guards Gaines, Wilson and Jackson all have three fouls.

Just because you think a team is going to win doesn't mean you don't want the other team to win!!

Match ups weren't the Tigers sole problem with Sealy last year.  Their fans said it was the best they played all year. Add the fact that Coach Williams was not able to come out for the second half(with the Tigers leading by 3),  which had to have some affect on his players not to mention in Coaching(one less brain) and you have an equation that the Tigers weren't able to overcome. Therefore, you have matchups, bad breaks, illnesses and a team peaking at the right time. And I am sure there were some bad calls in there as well. ;D  WOW,  it took a lot to beat those Tigers last year!!!!  ;) ;)

He figures in a kids tourney maybe he can out intellect them for the win!! Maybe....  ;D

I know Reed's dunk has been mentioned on here as well as on another thread.  I would like to congratulate Patrick on his play throughout the season. It was great to see him explode to the basket like that in a set offense not a break away. It will be fun to watch him play the next two years. If he can develop an outside game to go with the inside game that is getting better every game, he could be one of those special players.  He and Dobbins and Barnes have done a great job all year being undersized big men.

They did score just over 70 in each of their first two playoff games so it may have been Fairfield slowing the game down.

There has been a lot of talk on strength of schedules this year.  The Tigers  schedule was tough and they have 4 wins over teams that are still alive in the regionals this weekend: 4A Ozen, 3A Pleasant Grove and H-J and 2A Kountze.  Hopefully these will have helped the Tigers to pick up a couple more wins this weekend!

Do you remember what number the tech for Navasota,  heard they did the same thing against us.  I heard it was #45,  they were wondering if it was same player.

I don't know anything about Athens, except for them getting their star back recently.  From looking at the score tonight,  it appears they play a deliberate game.  If the Tigers get to running it could be a long night for them.  If that is their style and its a slow game,  it could be interesting.
