1.
I want my favorite memory to take place on January 13, 2012 and then for it to be replaced a couple of weeks later and then about a month after that.
That sounds pretty good hopefully that last one will be a Gaines(since he's a sr) three pointer at the buzzer for the win to send the Tigers to Austin!!
 2. I can't remember any of these games the last several years that weren't memorable.  There have definately been some great games,  I hope this year can live up to the past.  The atmosphere alone makes these games memorable.  That is one of my favorite memories,  it is actually a game the Tigers lost.  It was the final district game two years ago.  The Tigers already had the distict title having beaten HJ at home and HJ losing to WOS.  Late in the game HJ's fans were chanting at Silsbee because they were going to win.  The Tiger fans started a "District Champs!!"  chant of their own.  The looks on the faces of some of the players and fans when they realised what that chant was was priceless!!  I have to say that I always want my Tigers to win but after watching both these teams and their players grow up over the last few years it is hard to see either team lose.  Well,  real hard when its the Tigers and a tiny little bit when its the hawks.. ;D ;D
 3. I did hear from the administration today that all the tickets have been sold except for the 10 allotted for HJ fans..they will be available friday at the school starting at 4 AM. :)
 4. You get a certain number of points for every inch taller you are.
 5. Make sure you make HJ the full 20 pt favorite against the Tigers or you will hear about it!
 6. That outcome isn't a big surprise to me. It may be a little more lopsided than I would giant l have thought. I am sure many of Madison's losses are to some of those strong Dallas teams.
 7. I realy don't think worried is the right word!!
 8. I will say that at least in small high school basketball a dunk gets a lot more attention it seems because there are not near as many players who have the ability to dunk in a game.  More can do it in warmups but aren't explosive enough to do it with the other team on the court unless on a wide open fast break. It can definitely be a crowd pleaser but so can a great move to get a layup.
 9. I think either one can be just as exciting depending on the circumstance.  A wide open layup not very exciting.  Jordan switching hands in mid air...exciting. A wide open straight forward dunk by a tall player not really exciting.  Part of it is how you got to the rim to begin with.  I can remember just as many layups or shots right at the rim by MJ as I can dunks.  Those were a lot more exciting to me than watching a 7 footer dunk most of the time.
well since me and yalls star last year "DC" have talked about thiis everytime we hangout, and we both say that we wish we would have played and both think it would have been a good game and a good work out, and for BS that game did not help ether team get ready for dist.
DC isn't going to be disrespectful but he knows it wouldn't have been close at the end.

 12. How is that disrespectful of hj? alll it says is Silsbee isnt afraid of hj.

I think what they are saying is that the big kid leaving will hurt them more with depth, than him being an impact player in the game.  They will now have to find someone to replace him in the starting lineup, and that in turn means that someone will have to likely move up from JV also.  Silsbee was never going to beat you this year with size, it was always going to be with speed, quickness and pressure.  None of that has changed!!!
I believe after grades come out Silsbee could add one more speedy guard to the lineup.
Not sure who you are referring to. Is it someone who hasnt played this year. Everyone else was present at least last friday.

Seems to be more of a depth problem than anything else.
I agree, this will hurt them depth wise more so than point production. Any way you look at it, this will hurt the Tigers some.
Definately,  he wasn't starting for nothing. Size is a needed asset.

So I guess this proves that Silsbee is the clear 21-3A favorite.  ;D
:-X :-X :-X :-X
Not if the new kid is transferring back to P.A. AND averaged at least 10 rebounds and 5 points per game ;) In my scenario, you're losing that 10 point difference ;)
Thomas was averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds a game.
I am a little surprised her was averaging that many points a game.
 17. I hate to hear this for Thomas, he seemed to fit in with the oither players pretty well.  As far as how it will effect the team, I see it more as a depth problem down low.  We only have Reed and Dobbins with a little size.  Reed should start which will make the Tigers starting five a little fatser and he has been playing well down low.  We will miss Thomas' vision he knew how to hit the open man but  at times didn't attack the basket enough.  There were times I felt Thomas wanted to be outside more and didn't stay down low enough.  Maybe that is the way some plays were designed,  I am not sure but we need to have what size we do have down low for rebounding.  I don't feel that the Tigers will slow down much as long as we can keep Reed out of foul trouble.  He and Jacob will be just fine down low.
 18. That would be a tough loss for the Tigers as he has been a starter all year.  He is the Tigers tallest player and has good vision and likes to get his teammates involved. We do have Patrick Reed who is almost as tall and has been playing well. It is tough to hear that the Tigers could lose any of their size as there is very little on the team.
 19. Cant argue with that since there are only 7 on the bench but usally when the starters are replaced by a new five early in the game its the same five.  And when I have seen this third rotation generally it ha been the other two with a mixture of the others. I really shouldn't have used those labels.
 20.

I wasn't there tonight but other than just holding the ball, I am not sure the Tigers can do much in a case like this.  If we didn't press and played zone the entire second half not much more can be done assuming our player rotation was followed.  Last week at least in the first half we played everyone in the same manner as Sigler did the year the Tigers went undefeated in the regular season.  The second half oof that game was a little different.  I would imagine he foolowed that rotation the whole game tonight if not even playing the starters less.
Playing zone, rotating players and still score 46 points in one half?? I was not there either, but that's hard to believe. I'm not one to feel sorry for a team losing badly, but at some point, you should pull your starters and play Ur 2nd and 3rd teamers. Maybe the coach did that-I don't know. I remember a couple of years ago, Yates got some National attention (negatively) for beating teams by 100 points. Since then, they have not done that.
Like I said I bet our second and third strings started playing at about the four minute mark of the first quarter.

 23. I believe it was said that they have just two.  Both a big part of their team starters i Prudhomme and Persohn.
 24.

Doesn't Sisbee have almost all juniors? I expect Silsbee to win at least one vs HJ. Both teams will win on their own home court.
Of the 12 of varsity: 1 senior 8 juniors 3 soph.
The roster at the ticket table actually lists two seniors: Kelton and Turner.
 25. From what I have seen this year I an not sure this team has a best 'player'.  they play best when playing a as a team.  there has been games when any of the starting 5 hae lead the team and there are a few on the bench that can too. Keep working together and be the best you can be and dont worry about a best player label and you will be better individually and as a team.
