I have said all year this team has the size to match up with anyone.  If we cans get some outside shots to fall like last night and continue making our free throws and contolling the glass,  we will be fine.  Stay out of foul trouble and keep focused and the sky will be the limit.  Madison will be tough but play our best and we can do it.

Well said, I am not too sure us Tiger fans will miss Turner though. :D :D  Congratulations and well wishes to all of them.  Great rivalries make great teams.

The Tigers and Hawks are in a fantastic rivalry right now.  I know the Tigers had a similar rivalry with Lincoln in the mid early to mid 80's where the teams went deep into the playoffs.  I know there have been some great area rivalries. HJ with Kountze and East Chambers. Kountze-East Chambers. Silsbee-Hebert.  My  question is area and even state wide what other rivalries have reached the level of the current HJ-Silsbee one.  The last four years have been phenomenal.  Could easily have been 4 regional finals match ups in a row had the Tigers kept up their end last year.  Are there or have their been any other district rivalries this good?

Congratulations to all our area teams today especially the Tigers and Pirates.  Anahuac: great season and great game to hang with New Waverly. HJ: great season and another 21-3A Regional Championship Classic tonight.  I never feel comfortable with any lead even late when we play HJ.  The last play I was having flashbacks of the Tigers regional semifinal a couple of years ago with Crockett.  Great group of kids you are graduating and a great group coming back next year. Spurger:  Way to Go and keep it up in Austin.  Tigers: Great win!! You did not give up when giving up the lead late, a lot of other teams would have folded. Play  your game in Austin and the sky is the limit.  Play the Defense that has got you this far...remember defense wins championships and your defense this year has been our strong point.  Keep up the work on the boards and hit those free throws.  This is your time to shine....enjoy it.  GO Tigers!!
