Just curious a lot has been said about Silsbee's size this year. Not in any way trying to say the tigers could play with Yates, but I am wondering how big Yates starting 5 are. -
Silsbee is the longest and biggest team in the state in 3A and lower!!!!!! Mabe even bigger than some 4A and 5A teams!!!!!! They will be tough to beat!!!
And we could have been bigger tonight if we hadn't had one stop playing. Barret probably would have been replaced with a 6'2 guard. I do like our chemistry better now though and when Pheal gets back you will have a better scorer and defensive player add some life to the team.

THERE WAS NOT ONE CUSS WORD...Someone behind me made some type of reference to her officiating resembled a shop vac or something like that, she got mad and went to a policeman and said we were cussing her out. I was personally was disappointed that somehow I was drug into it, I didn’t say any of it, but hey I think that’s why people were mad at the officiating of that game. (the buckshot approach) Now I think the officiating in the second game was top notch. I know, I know, I’m griping about the game we won and praising the game we lost. Us losing had nothing to do with the officiating it had more to do with the JUCO sized team called the Silsbee Tigers, and going 4 for 15 from the line.
Yes the officiating in that game was definitely subpar...both ways. A great night of basketball. Both teams need to do better from the line.

Hard to make a prediction. HJ gets its energy from Turner if he is limited like last night it will be the Tigers game to take. The Tigers get a lot of there energy from Hill, without them they need good games from Lane and Stallworth and at least some help from one more guard. If they don't get this the Hawks should win.

Tough one.
I agree that it will be a tough 5 games to have to play without Hill, but I have all the confidence in the world in the other Tiger players to be able and step up and take care of business until Pheal comes back. Silsbee got a taste of it tonight and I think the players and the coaching staff will be prepared for the remainder of the district schedule, with or without Hill. The Tigers have had to play a few games already this year minus a star player or two and have come out victorious. Silsbee did not have Hill and Harris for the New Waverly game, won that one. They also did not have Stallworth for the second half of the West Brook game and for the all of the Kelly and Spurger games, and still won those games. Stallworth's first game back was the district opener against WOS and his minutes were limited. Tigers won that @ WOS by 25. Again, Silsbee has the team to overcome the loss of a player or two for a small amount of time. Hill will be back for the last 2 district games and then the playoffs. In the mean time, the Tigers will do their best without him. I do admit though, the HJ game at home just got a lot tougher.
Could not have said it better. It is just a shame it had to happen.
If its for the 6 weeks then he should be back for the play-offs, eh? This will give his backups a chance to step up. This may not be a total loss in the long run. For instance, I saw some improvement in Will Anderson's play after Ricossa went down. This benefits HJ now when Ricossa takes a breather. No, if Hill comes back, this is certainly not a show-stopper.
I believe it will be three weeks.
